What would you say the best starting line up is? Obviously it’s your own opinions so no need to be sceptical on each other.

it is hard to pick sometimes as some players have a few really good games then get rested or injured then struggle to get back in the team due to the same reason.I really like odour but it’s sometimes hard to get him in the team but here’s what I would try..

    .................Walton...............

    ....Sol......Helik...Andersen...

    Brittain..James..Mowatt..Styles.

    ..Chaplin..Woodrow..Odour..

    subs
    Collins
    Halme
    Palmer
    Simoes
    Kane
    Williams
    Freezer
    Victor

I'd go along with that. I just think if Styles, Mowatt and James all have mares like they did at Cardiff the other night. You don't stand a chance. As good as our first 11 is right now. There isn't anybody pushing for a start.

The only thing I would do if one was having a mare is drop odour back and replace the one with another striker?

Also, maybe Palmer? He looked well when he was playing so could be an option

Yeah I'd go along with that. I know Kane had an expensive price tag but I'm thinking he might be a duffer being constantly over looked and other players being played out of position over him.

I think the team that started at Derby is our best XI, so Freiser in for Uduor. Frieser offers a bit more "muscle" up front at the moment.

I think Kane is quality and long term will be a regular starter. With James on loan atm he's struggling to get a CM place but a great option from the bench...

I don't think Kane "is a duffer" at all. It's just that there are two better players (at the moment) playing is his preferred position. Those two players won't be there "forever"

I hope so too. I know james is on a lot at Leicester but doesn’t his contract end in the summer? We should be looking for do a deal now see what happens. He obviously likes it at Barnsley to come here a 2nd time. Just hope he would settle to around 10k a week

If we are sticking with this formation then the same line up as derby for me. Don't think Oduor has the end product to play in a front three and I think Frieser is improving each game. Could see Kane and James being rotated as the games build up. Having J Williams back would also give us the option of putting Styles back in the middle if required.

If we were to move to four at the back I wouldn't mind seeing the following in a diamond formation:

    Walton
    Brittain Sol Mads Williams
    James
    Kane Styles
    Mowatt
    Woodrow Chaplin

The Diamond formation took a bit of getting used to by the players last season under Struber, and I was never a big fan as when we lost the ball it was just one pass by the opposition and they were right on our back 4.

I think Corbo's team is the best and ironically now Struber isn't here the players we have now would make it work.

Frieser for Oduor for me. And Jordan Williams runs close for a start in a couple of positions. Otherwise, I agree.

Not sure mate, like I say not a big fan of the Diamond system. Took too long to get the players used to it and it would be the same again if we were to change this season. Can't see us changing systems - technically we already have under VI, so I doubt he's going to change again

Kane's signed a 4 year deal, I don't think there's any urgency to force him into the side just yet. He's looked handy in his sub appearances. Neither of our two current centre mids are likely to be here next season (or even after January for that matter), so his time to get a run of games will definitely come.

I'm not the biggest fan myself but as Stephen Dawson says I think the current squad might be more suited to playing that formation. I think with a diamond you're reliant on your full backs to add width. And I think with Brittain and the way Williams started the season, we now have two full backs who can defend and also offer something going forward. Brittain perhaps more so than Williams. You also need to have midfielders who have good technical ability and are comfortable on the ball. And again I think James and Kane are an improvement on say Ritzmaier and Thomas. Who both often played in a midfield four under Struber. Although Struber did seem to go with a 352 later in the season I guess. Anyway, with all that said I think Ismael clearly favours a 3-4-3 so that's what I'd expect us to go with. And you can't argue with the results so far, even if the performances have been a bit disjointed at times.

With VI`s preferred system the wing-back selection is vital as shown by the Cardiff game.
At present (in my opinion) the only players that can fulfil this role are Brittain Williams and Styles - it all comes down to discipline and game awareness which I don`t think Oduor has at present and Freezer definately showed he hadn`t got.
This in turn would say to me that although it may be VI`s preferred system it may need adapting if 2 of these players are not available (like Cardiff)
