Isn't there also the prospect of legal consequences? An employer has ignored an official investigation and allowed a known bully to retain a position of power. That has lawsuits from victims written all over it
You can’t demote someone. The only option is to take them through a disciplinary procedure and sack them. In business if you protect an employee who’s been found guilty of bullying and harassment you’d expect a rather large tribunal case. It can be an indefinite fine amount as well. This should be a national scandal.
I definitely can see this running a while yet. Much like the free school dinners fiasco this government and specifically the prime minister seems incapable of doing the right thing or even of being capable of being seen to do the right thing
It's been added to the multi page list of scandals this 'government' have perpetrated in the past 6 months alone. Sadly, the Great British electorate do not seem to give a flying sh.it.
Apart from the fact you spent time looking for this...Have you posted the entire thread leading up to my exasperated post? As I have already admitted, I have on occasions lost my cool through sheer frustration but still consider I do not initiate these personal insults and jibes. I see no-one in your clique commented on the latest post containing a STFU aimed at a poster who disagreed with him. Back to my post highlighted I initiated that response after the post (in the response above) was tantamount to implying that I would even consider for one second what he stated. I only have to see the usual clique who liked it to realise for some on this board there is little hope of continuing a rational debate without it descending into insults. Thank God for people like Stahlrost and a few others who, whilst we disagree on a lot, can at least post rebuttals without resorting to insults and profanity.
If you know it is going to provoke such a response to the point that it winds you up and you're putting people on ignore- why keep creating threads about Tories??? People shouldn't be telling others to 'stfu' on here, though.
Probably because they’ve got rent to pay and families to feed which they can’t do if they’re jobless. Also, a lot of people wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that and rightly so. Confrontations like that have no place in a professional workplace.
Are you that lacking in self-awareness to post that after it's been brought to your attention that you responded to someone's points by calling them a fuckwit? I guess it's "do as I say, not do as I do." Again, you'd fit seamlessly into this government. I'm not sure I've ever sworn at you. I've called you a hypocrite but I think that's justified based on your "concern" about the impact of movement of people on the UK economy. A concern that conveniently only applies to people coming in, and not people retiring abroad...
Of course they don't - but life isn't like that is it? Sometimes people feel they have to suck it up in jobs they don't like to pay the bills and clothe the family. It's a complete disgrace but work places can be toxic at times - and if you're in a position of power then you can basically do as you please. I've worked in a few offices where your face had to be the right fit for you to make progress
I've never worked in an office, all I can say is I wouldn't have lasted a day if I working in that type of atmosphere.
Don't get me wrong it's not every place - I've had 3 office based jobs and 2 of them were great. But the other one was an absolute shitshow of a place where you basically had to stab your co-workers in the back to get anywhere and the gaffer was a complete Gobshite.
The overwhelming majority of posts about the Tories are not started by me. So, in some ways your post above is implying only people who hate/criticise the Tories and are pro Labour should post on here and the rest of the posters 'closed down'? And for the umpteenth time I am not a Tory Boy, Tory lover, did NOT vote for them and do NOT seek to defend them at every opportunity. On the Priti Patel thread I have even stated that she may be completely guilty as charged but some of the personal comments on here were frankly ridiculous. I pointed out the 'between the lines' comments in the report merely to highlight that that neither PATEL or THE CIVIL SERVICE come out of this well. Incidentally the BBC printed a summary of the report subsequently and also stated the the author had resisted attempts by No 10 to 'soften' I concluded from that, that the mitigation - NOTE: not exoneration - in the article for her behaviour is acknowledged by the author. I do seek to sometimes redress to the balance and try to offer some counter argument to some of the more extreme anti-Govt posts made on here. That usually leads to abuse and, rather like your post (even if unintended) , is an attempt to close down posters who have different opinions. NOTE: I will NOT go quietly!! I am an obstinate relentless b'stard! On a more important note... in spite of hitting the woodwork twice it looks like we are still missing a striker! t
Not said you were a Tory boy or anything of the sort in my post. Was just curious as to why if it bothers you so much to the point you have to ignore multiple people, you would create further threads about it that's all and complain about the abuse you receive in almost every post. I can't see the point myself, but that's just me, i'm not a big fan of confrontation. I might understand it more perhaps if this wasn't a football BBS and solely a politics board. And yes I'm fully aware here isn't solely a football board. You have every right to post whatever you want, that wasn't my question or what I was implying with my post.
