Hi! I'm here! Some nice comments thanks. Had a couple of friends tell me about this thread. Essentially Facebook superseded this board, plus moving to Nottingham for work. Still have a season ticket and before all this covid ***** I was generally to be found downstairs in No.7 before home games.
Ain't lockdown sh*t? We beat Derby and Forest back to back and I don't get to gloat in the office because I've been working from home since March!
'Gummer munters.' A southern saying as far as you know? I've lived down south for 40 years now and I've never ever heard that expression. Ever. I've asked around and no one else has either. I've googled it and - as far as I can see - that those two words have never been put together. Of course no doubt you're right.
That's all I could find. Nudger has invented a new phrase while at the same time claiming it to be a well known now. I'll let all the southerners know.
Even autocorrect didn't recognise it and changed my original post to 'gummer munter' rather than 'gummy munter'
Are you sure you haven't misheard a phrase nudge? I honestly can't find any reference to gummy munter anywhere other than yourself
Gummy Munter is probably a third/fourth tier German/Austrian laiker who we'll most probably sign in the next window.
