https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/spo...ws/sky-sports-red-button-championship-4663420 More games are played midweek due to the condensed season but Sky Sports won't be giving coverage to all of them.
You are correct it doesn't. I originally searched for this weeks championship red button matches on sky and it provided a list of fixtures which i took to be what they were covering, but obviously not.
I couldn't tell you buddy what it says on there. I just know it's not on this week as per emails from the EFL etc.
Do you know the reasoning behind it not being on? Are some clubs trying to block being on the red button to try and increase ifollow revenues?
Soes the red button still not show replays? Which is rubbish. Then iFollow is rubbish too. Get me back in the grounds! Miss away days more than Oakwell
It’s the deal they struck (the EFL and Sky). Not every midweek would carry fixtures on the red button. No idea as to why that is. Our fixtures against Birmingham City next week and then Bournemouth are on Sky. But ‘properly’, with multi-cam, in-situ commentary, a full broadcast basically.
It's a SKY decision isn't it? Don't believe it's up to the clubs to tell SKY what they can show on their own platform
Every other one of our midweek games has been on SS or the red button so not sure why tonight would be different.
A shame and not really sure why its just a game here and there. Oh well, saves me getting grief from the other half for making her watch eastenders in bed! I probably would have preferred watching the Brentford game over the Brum one, but the midweek games are so frequent now, I can't watch all of them. Thanks for the info!
As explained above in the link I posted, this season has more midweeks than usual so this is one Sky are not covering.
Conversely I've now got to watch Eastenders because George is still in with me and Laura and I can't watch Sky upstairs
