Just got back from Asda. The store was nice and quiet, and for once I managed to get every item on my list. Settling down soon with a cuppa, a bit of supper, and tonight's movie. In keeping with the pervading spirit of niceness, we've dug out the 1953 classic, "Genevieve" starring Kenneth More. Toodle pip!

Do you get the monthly Northern Monk Patron delivery?

We don't have a separate fridge, just use the whole top shelf of the existing one (and have 4 cupboard spillover!). Chose to finish off a BrewDog zombie cake last night.... it was part of a birthday gift stout set a few months back and I've been putting it off and putting it off. Probably the most disappointing effort at a more adventurous stout that I've come across.

I’ve thought about getting the Patrons subscription in the past but decided against it , in normal times I go in their Refrectory in Leeds quite a bit so tend to try the limited editions there . I drink Northern Monk Faith quite a bit it’s my standard drink at the moment . I’ve got a Brew Dog order coming but they are running late on deliveries probably due to the run on people ordering Punk IPA to try and get a £10k gold can promotion .

I'm generally not bothered about IPAs or pales. I do like a good DIPA though and some of the DDH IPAs I can drink, but then I do prefer stouts, fruits, sours and wheats.

The other half tends to prefer IPAs and pales so she's gone with the Northern Monk patron box and been quite impressed so far with some limited editions in there each month.

I tend to avoid BrewDog to be honest (even though we got a share in them years ago). Liked them at the beginning but I just think there are much better smaller brewers out there.

Been very impressed with Brew York and Vocation (tried an impy cherry and choc stout the other day.... good lord thats good!), but we literally just scatter round a list of saved breweries and see what they have in at a given time. I think Siren and Mad Squirrel are next in line and last week we got a delivery from Brew York with a couple of Christmas themed beers.

Nice to see a fellow well stocked fridge ;-)

We got a few from Cloudwater, but they tend to be higher prices than others, so they aren't always top of the pile.

We get quite Tiny Rebel quite a bit, and the other half likes the Pineapple express which i think was a collab with Pollys. I do miss visiting the tap rooms and craft beer places around London. Its good we've got so much choice at home, but its not the same as seeing a lineup of so many new things and trying them.

Interesting to know Brew York are opening a place in leeds. We've been up to Leeds on the train a few times for a weekend and found the beer getting better, but not ventured to the Northern Monk tap room yet, so I'm sure we'll get it on the list once its safe to be near those pesky humans again! ;-)

I won on the lottery recently.

A free draw in the next lottery.

    Didn't win with that though.

Still, the hope was there for a while.
