Mowatt and James in midfield doesn't work, too slow and pedestrian and tonight gave the ball away constantly. Frieser and Chaplin not dangerous or creative enough or supportive to the defence. Styles needs to play in central midfield, Victor upfront to support Cauley. We worry far too much about what we do without the ball, rather than being positive with it. We are very predictable, even though we have won recently. Thomas seems to be going backwards. We don't have the pace to counter attack, Brentford are so much quicker and a perfect example of how to do this.

Brentford are gearing up for the Premier League both on and off the pitch a reality check tonight but its a long season plenty of ups and downs.

Poor game. Should have had Styles & Mowatt in the middle & J Williams on the left. That is the side the constantly broke down & James looked knackered tonight after 30 minutes.

That said was a nailed on penalty & could have had a scrappy draw if the referee had been to Specsavers before the match.

Williams injured. Also I thought Styles looked a but jaded in the bits I actually got to watch, understandable after Saturday.

Styles undoubtedly is our most promising player. He tries too hard at times, especially in games like today. Instead of a simple ball he tries to do too much. He is also wasted out wide, but we have 4 very good central midfielders. I personally don't like to see players played out of position. Hadn't realised Jordan was injured again. For me you could play Styles & Mowatt till half time in the middle, put James on & then Kane with 20 to go & keep everyone fresh. If J Williams injured I can maybe see why Styles got the nod over Odour, as the latter has been below par this season for me. He doesn't look interested TBH.

We were totally out pressed by Brentford last night. They allowed us no time at all on the ball resulting in almost every other pass from one of our players going astray. That said we should have had a penalty so I think we did well to stay in touch until the end.

Brentford will be in the top 6 at the end of the season.

The lack of quality on the bench will lead us to struggle against the better teams. I am not panicking yet though. In VI I trust.

I think it's worth saying that Brentford are a very good team and played well last night.

I'm glad people are realising that we need to freshen it up in midfield and that Mowatt and James get in each others way because they're similar players it's just James isn't as good in the opposition half as Mowatt.
