So of there will never be any evidence it means that you don't have any evidence? Which means you're just speculating?
Yes I'm just speculating. I'm also speculating that the cheating lovely person will be refereeing another championship game on Saturday as I have no evidence but that is ******* nailed on
But football results aren't awarded on the basis of who the better side is. They're decided by the number of goals scored. At the time of the handball incident, Brentford - despite their superiority - had only managed one goal. The referee robbed us of a penalty, at a crucial point in the game, and with only a single goal between the sides. I'll concede that over 90 minutes, we didn't do enough to deserve a point, but we should, undoubtedly, have taken one. I'm ****ing fuming.
Did our 6-0 defeat at Chelsea too. Before that he reffed our 1-0 defeat at Bristol City. Before that a 2-2 draw at WBA. Four without a win with him in charge.
Football results can often be decided upon the basis of bad refereeing decisions, which is why VAR came in. I'm all for VAR. But you're right, they are indeed decided upon the basis of goals scored, and they managed one more than us I'm afraid. These decisions are swings and roundabouts, and hurt when they go against us. In this thread I go on to agree that it's not a matter of who looks the best should win. If we'd been anywhere near deserving anything from that game I may have had a little fume too. But I still need to see a bang to rights penalty angle to feel a sense of injustice.
Nailed on home win then with him in charge. Bet of the week get in early boys and girls. The name's Bond, Darren Bond
Chelsea- completely outclassed Bristol City- deserved something but threw it away at the end West Brom- winning and threw it away Today- very poor, but should have had a penalty. To be fair to 007 we could only claim for one out of four. To be fair to us, it was a penalty
Just seen penalty that Birmingham got at Luton tonight, ball crossed in from right strikes defender's arm (sound familiar ?)only this time penalty awarded,
how does that ref sleep at night ,ball heading straight to Woodrow, Brentford player runs across and blocks with arm
It got me wondering as to when we last got a flagrantly incorrect decision go in our favour. I can't remember any off the top of my head from the last couple of seasons. We've had a few marginal penalty decisions etc. go our way, but I don't think we've gotten away with anything really bad - certainly nothing like the handballs that Brentford have managed in their last two games against us!
Controversial take: Assuming he did indeed just drop a clanger and there was no anti-BFC malice... even though it hurt us today I still prefer this to VAR. I watch football for excitement, unexpected happiness, controversial talking points - and even the sh*t days make the good days better. VAR for me takes the excitement out of the game. I'd rather we had a couple of dodgy decisions for us and a couple against us than have everything analysed for 5 minutes before we know if we can celebrate/commiserate.
