So it looks like the government paid 12 billion for PPE which in 2019 would have cost around 3 billion. Operation Cygnus findings weren't financially supported, so we had to be fleeced to get the right kit.
Seems like a lot of people will have got very rich due to the pandemic. UK based suppliers were ignored and we feathered the nests of many foreigner providers.
10 billion deficit, so let's freeze the pay of those who've kept the country running.

unions aren't worth the subs these days, ours is a complete joke and getting laughed at by our employers,
we are still waiting on this years deal to be sorted, that after our employer reneged on the previous year, currently working 2hrs a week for free due to inept union leaders dragging their heels and greedy employers throwing too much work at us
honestly, sometimes the only way i realise there's a pandemic/lockdown going on is that i can't go for a pint,
it's been the busiest i've ever known and our office can be like trying to get a pie at h/t at oakwell with all the pushing & shoving and next week is traditionally the start of the xmas rush!

Unions are as strong/weak as their members allow them to be. Having said that, it still doesn’t excuse poor representation at local level. Obviously know nothing about your workplace or Union, but sounds like like both management and Union need to be brought to task if it is this bad
