I don't dislike Chaplin as such; he gives his all and we know he can shoot. He's a likeable character. But his size counts against him, his lack of pace means he cannot go past defenders when on their shoulder and when under pressure he isn't choosing the right option at the moment.
Chaplin promises a lot but delivers very little but Thomas delivers nothing and basically is a waste of a shirt.
That's probably the worst take I've read in a while. Back on topic, Chaplin is hugely inconsistent and frustrating. Apart from his purple patch pre lockdown, he's done next to nothing. We're crying out for a target man, especially with the vertical football.
To be fair to Thomas he never gets the consistent run in the team that Chaplin gets. I'm sure big Val will be expecting more from both their positions if not he'll be looking at new players to do it.
When Thomas starts we might as well start with ten men. He has zero effect on games and is possibly the most wasteful player in the squad, and that’s saying something.
If we want to improve then IMO Chaplin needs moving on. I'd say he's L1 standard at best, he had a purple patch last season but apart from that has done very little to suggest he will be a consistently good player at this level. He seems a nice lad and he's a grafter but that only gets you so far.
Dont forget freezer. In all seriousness no they havent well not that I know of and they would probley **** that up aswell. I just dont see everything few rose tinted specs and I'm far from impressed.
Baffling in what way. Today Chaplin was miles better than Woodrow who was terrible. Woodrow has done nowt in his favoured forward position. Baffles me how people still rave about him
Agree with the first part but Woidrow has performed well for 2 seasons with us. He's definitely one of our star players.
