With such optimism, I'd say Helen's glass has been well and truly drained. Several times. She must be on her third bottle, at least...
Well we did thrash them once quite recently at St Andrews but we had a goal scoring centre forward then....
We've tended to do better at St Andrews than Oakwell against Blues. Seen us win 5-0, 3-0 and 2-0 away (too young for the 4-0 play off win) but they seem to have the better of us at Oakwell. They were laughably bad at Oakwell last season but we gifted them a win, and they seem to be pretty solid under Karanka this season - I'm not confident, put it that way. If we attack the game the same as we did today and actually take a chance or two then we may win.
Need a win as we have Bournemouth game after and don’t want a run of defeats. Play like today and get a goal and I’m hopeful concede first though and hard to see us coming back
One of my indelible memories of Birmingham is October 1988. They were in a mess and their fans weren't happy at all. It was the only time in over 50 years watching football that the home team were booed ON TO the pitch at the start by their own fans. We laughed ourselves senseless, then went on to hammer them 5-3. A quite bizarre game. Same on Tuesday please.
Ah, Steve Lowndes scoring & then flicking the 'V's at some Barnsley fans who'd been giving him stick during the game.
Birmingham City. Nailed on defeat. I thought the lads played well today, by far the better team in the first half till the last minute. Thought we going to get hammered for the first 10 minutes of the second half but then we picked up again. Shame we couldn't have scored a bit earlier, it would have been an interesting end.
