is a great big melting pot, big enough to take the world and all it's got. (Now try to get that fkin tune out of your head !!)
I’d take Pederson from Birmingham if we could get him, they signed him for £1.5 and is supposed to be on £10K a week.
Had a quick look at the birmingham forum today. A few of their fans would drive him here themselves by the looks of it, particularly after the penalty given away last night.
The difficult thing will be to offload the under achievers. Partly because some have a good length left on their contracts and we'll likely have to subsidise their exit to ensure we get rid as the next move will be down. We also crystallise a loss on the transfer fees.
As long as we don't do a Hull, and think we're clear enough and sell off a couple of key players without realising we're quite close to a cliff edge. Chronicle article points out that Charlton and Hull had more than 19 points at this stage last season. Priorities in January would be; - Keep all first team regulars - Extend James / contract for Mowatt - Left back and / or left sided defender - Striker All with equal priority. Think we can filter out centre mids from the spreadsheet. Hopefully there'll be some takers for loan deals for likes of Thomas, Simoes, Schmidt if we get another striker in.
Don't get me started on the name Kane (ok you already have...) Robert Kane is the frontman of the current version of the Feelgoods..... thanks but no thanks
I didn’t think he had a bad game last night(penalty aside) and particularly looked good going forward in second half. Only 26, played virtually every game since he arrived just over 2 seasons ago and recently got called up by Denmark and think he could be within our budget. Opinions eh, they obviously know him better than us but then again we know how fickle fans can be, especially after a defeat.
VI stated in a recent interview that he wanted to get deals done early, so hopefully people are already lined up. However, a lot is out of our hands when it comes to chain transfers.
How do they sound these days? It's over 40 years since the original band and all I still hear in my head is Roxette etc.
The frontman does not have the same vocal strength that Lee had. The last album that Lee made was a live one late January 1994 - he passed away less than 11 weeks later. The cover of the album had a picture of Lee showing how frail and ravaged by cancer he was. To his credit his vocals were fantastic for a man so ill. I have seen the current line up on a couple of occasions... and whilst the musicians were the same as performed with Lee in his last years, the overall sound, alas, is. just is not the same, not nearly the same. I think the phrase is the timbre of the vocalist's voice is just wrong - it doesn't sound right
If it's the same album I'm thinking about I've got it on my mp3 player. I believe it was Lee's last one. Is it the one with Tanqueray and Wolfman Calling? If so I listen to it a lot. His voice is great on it, sad if it was his swan song.
That's the one. Indeed it was his swan song, Poignant I vividly remember picking up a newspaper and reading of his death - I was numbed by his passing.
What happens if we sign this lad? They’d write stories for centuries about the “Callum Williams Paradox” https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/callum-williams/profil/spieler/121351
