Why not? Airlines, ferries etc may well require proof. before you can board. If If someone believes they H&S of other customers or workforce may be compromised there is no reason (whatever human rights privacy crap people hide behind). that he/she cannot ask.
? If two conflicting laws contradict ones relating to H&S would come first. "The I know my rights" barrack room lawyer type might well try to sue but I doubt in unlikely event of even the Court found for the plaintiiff the costs of bringing a case would outweigh the amount awarded. Also you would need to prove loss of some sort. I very much doubt in the current circumstances the CPS would be prepared to resort to criminal prosecution. beside he only has to display something stating that people must present proof of vaccination to enter. Technically he is not asking.
are you saying it is illegal in a pub for the licensee to ask for proof of age before serving someone. What is the difference?

This could be wrong, but from what I can gather vaccine trials do not usually check long term effects. These trials are testing the exact same thing as usual trials, just testing them all at once, across multiple groups. Usually this would be stupid, because if it fails test 1 there's no point wasting money on more tests.

Not explicitly no but NHS Wales are issuing vaccination proof cards to anyone who has it and the UK health minister in charge of the vaccination has admitted that he is looking into how to issue proof that a member of the public has been vaccinated in order to gain entry to places.

    Compulsory to exist? No
Compulsory to live? The government admits it is looking into how to make that happen

The equality act 2010 prevents them from asking

Being disabled is a protected characteristic isn't it?

Deleted - because if I ended up dragged into a debate I'd say something I'd regret.

Roll on normality at a vaccine positive Oakwell and we can get back to saying how crap we all think our owners are.

Boris and his advisor can't agree and have a little squable. We may feel forced to take a rushed vaccine to stop ourselves being banned from entering somewhere, but taking it won't stop covid being around forever. I do like the point JVT made about masks and hand sanitiser though. I have said myself a few times on here it wouldn't harm shops during flu season to keep it an their entrance and for someone under the weather to out of courtesy wear a mask in a shop so they aren't spreading germs.

I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to masks and hand sanitiser in flu season. Think that makes a lot of sense and it’s hardly life altering.

Of course those unable to get the vaccine should not be discriminated against.

Those who choose not to can’t complain if a private establishment doesn’t let them in imo.

Where does the 2010 Act reference a Pandemic? Since you are a barrister I assume you will notify all the airlines that are planning to insist on vaccination.proof before boarding. You don't half talk some cr*p

EDIT .The Act protects people against discrimination, harassment or victimisation in employment, and as users of private and public services based on nine protected characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex,..

How does that cover vaccination proof?. I have said it before and I'll re'afirm. You really are a WUM or not as bright as you think you think you are.

How does the establishment know if a customer is disabled or chose not to have the vaccine? Remember it's illegal to ask someone their disability

It doesn't remember breakfast time specifically either but it doesn't mean I can ignore the law during breakfast.

Well if these ‘immunity passports’ are real, those unable to have the vaccine should be issued with one.

So businesses will be able to demand that a disabled person shows a card admitting they're disabled before they are allowed entry?

Ah Ha!! Thick as pigshit! See I can lower myself and resort to your level when I choose. The act does NOT cover the Pandemic/vaccination issue( see my edit!!)

I repeat WHERE is the discrimination based on sex, religion disability etc?

No? How is it admitting they’re disabled? If it’s indistinguishable than any other ‘immunity passport’ all it shows is that the individual is inoculated to the extent possible for themselves. If that extent is none, that’s fine, they have the card and as far as the business is aware they’ve had the vaccine.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You actually think masks and social distancing and restricted numbers in venues is going anywhere?? Think again. Ground lost is ground lost forever, the "freedoms" you once enjoyed are gone, and they aren't coming back.

A vaccine with a lower efficacy rate than the collective immunity of a populace is pointless for a kick-off, BoZo has also just said that the vaccine won't stop you from catching COVID, some vaccine eh? for the most part untested, unreliable and to a certain extent inneffective, wow, I can't wait to have mine.
