Trump has put those question marks there WITH NO EVIDENCE to support them. In much the same way as some people put forward nonsensical theories about "them" controlling us to achieve some sort of world domination.
AstraZeneca don’t sound too hopeful that there won’t be negative side effects. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...LpShp9GpoF3xP49Bqb5qnUO8w23tQQn1JdQARsa_3PB98
Some mad posts on ere. People are really starting to lose their $hit. Genuinely concerned about one or two individuals
What's your preferred solution then ST? Genuinely interested - and I've no axe to grind with anyone in this thread, apart from the bloke who thinks it's all a conspiracy. You don't want the vaccine. But you don't want the tier system. You also don't want lockdown. But you do want to isolate the vulnerable. Does that then follow that you want to shield them indefinitely until you're happy that a vaccine is safe? How long would this be? Do you want to basically write off care homes and the like for good?
https://news.sky.com/story/covid-ne...rus-rules-and-daily-cases-and-deaths-12149698 Check the time date 7:41 this morning. Anthony Fauci thinks we've rushed it through and anyone who knows the work he has done over the decades with many different health issues know that what he says can be trusted.
Surely it doesn't take a genius to work out that other countries are going to be saving face when another pips them to the post with something like this? It is natural that the people of other countries are going to be complaining "why haven't we got it when they have?" Etc etc.... so what options have they got to reply with? They are literally one or two days behind by the sounds of it- not months! I think you are looking for something that just isnt there.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...egal-indemnity-safety-ministers-b1765124.html Get your vaccine but if years down the line you develop a serious health condition because it hasn't been tested over many years like vaccines usually are, don't think of trying to get compensation as you won't get any.
"The Department of Health and Social Care confirmed an indemnity was in place for Pfizer and added that the government would be adding the coronavirus vaccine to the list of vaccinations covered by the Vaccine Damages Payments Act. This pays out a one-off £120,000 payment to people who are permanently disabled or harmed as a result of a listed vaccination."
You mean the scaremongering about Covid vaccines not being covered under the damages scheme was false? Say it ain’t so...
@Tyketical Masterstroke I saw you liked the post, so let me ask you the same questions I asked the other guy. Do you believe the government wants to impose these rules? What do they have to gain? Why does the most Libertarian Prime Minister in recent memory want to do that? Why does the government want to waste millions and millions a month, permanently? Do you really think these restrictions are permanent?
So based on the average salary of the UK you might get around half a decade of wages as compo for spending the rest of your life possibly disabled. If only we had done as well as New Zealand who don't need to be in a rush for a vaccine as mass testing has done great and now they can test people coming in to their country.
DB: "We should be back in football stadiums now!" BBS: "They have announced plans for reduced capacity" DB: "Well I'm not hanging around the ground an extra hour before!!" DB: "they're not even compensating people!" BBS: "yes they are, you get the standard payout." DB: "yes but it's not enough!"
I'm sure that the various vaccines will all be absolutely fine and that there probably won't be any serious side effects, so not being able to claim compensation won't be an issue at all. I'm also genuinely pleased that the people on here who are desperate for the vaccine look likely to be able to get it soon. I don't intend having one myself but I will certainly be watching with interest to see how these new mRNA vaccines pan out over the next few years.
