Nice! I've got one in for tomorrow night (can't remember which) Yeah I like it up there, particularly when it's sunny and you can sit outside.
In my door knocking days I always knocked even if I’d seen a doorbell. I then rang the bell. If the bell doesn’t work you’re left standing on the doorstep like a lemon because you don’t know if it rang or not. Many can’t be heard from the door if they are in fact working. Ringing the bell twice can be annoying. I usually apologised with a “Sorry didn’t see the doorbell before I knocked” only to be told it doesn’t work anyway.
Amazon. The irony is, when it was delivered, the guy knocked on the door and we didn't hear him. I was on the phone and just happened to look out of the bedroom window as he walked off the driveway.
The kids tell me that. but I live in a world where I have to listen to them, so I assume some other people might too.
I’m a courier and it’s better for us to knock as we can press a door bell and as we can’t hear it, we don’t know if it actually works. Can guarantee 50% of the doorbells no longer work.
Nothing more funny than watching postman/delivery drivers knocking then getting annoyed when no answers yet if they pressed the ring doorbell they would get told exactly what to do. Bless em.
At least do both. If I'm upstairs in my office I wont hear a knock, but I'll hear the doorbell. Thankfully with it lighting up when it senses movement I think that lets people know it's working etc. so they're more likely to press it.
DHL man just been. He successfully pressed the doorbell and I successfully answered. A happy transaction (barring my parcel being a week late and damaged).
I generally do, I always press the Ring doorbells as they always seem to be charged up and working. There’s a lot of cheap Chinese copy ones about now that don’t work at all so they’re a waste of time. The best ones are those that glow behind the button, then as you said, we know it’s worked. What a thread this is by the way.
