Since we've been mullered earlier this evening, I thought I'd have a bottle of Tesco's finest mulled wine. Followed up by a lovely Hardy's VR merlot and a curry in front of the fire. After a 4-0 defeat this combination works very well!

Had a Northern Monk - Eternal, when I was doing the work's Friday quiz.

Had a cheap fruit beer when my Mrs got home from work.

Couple of glasses of Malbec with the match.

    Now got this.... [IMG]

Depends what you’re eating with it. Anti-freeze goes well with a fish-based meal, but if you’re going with red meat you’ll definitely get much more enjoyment out of a good old glass of turpentine.

To be honest it depends how you like your red meat. I like beef and lamb to be pink in the middle, but turpentine doesn't go well with that, in my opinion. I prefer a pint of corsodyl with lamb, and red diesel with beef. With fish I find that dishwasher rinse aid is a useful substitute for antifreeze, in addition to turpentine as already mentioned.

I’ve heard Judd Spicer enjoys his roast beef with an ethanol reduction, or a paint thinner jus.

I’m surprised a mango sour could be rancid. What was it?

Me too! I think it was by eight arches, first one I’ve had from them and it wasn’t a good experience.

That’s so sad. I go into all beers expecting the best so when it rarely isn’t so good it makes me so down!
