You could equally say THAT'S HIS JOB about our strikers not scoring goals. At least Walton does regularly make saves.
Still think he's better than Collins. Walton is still young for a keeper he just had a bad day the weather didn't help problem is if a keeper makes a mistake it's 99% going to cost us a goal. The lad has gained us more point than he has cost us he will learn by this mistakes onto the next game
Good at reaction saves, but all 4 tonight down to him, couldn’t cope with pace of first hit, even though he had time to get down to it,beaten at near post twice and not strong enough at end Thing worries me most is corners,he as zero ability to command his area,he best we got though so let’s hope he learns from it
Walton is a decent keeper, he's 22 and won't be at the top of his game until he's 30. When Jack Butland was on loan at Southend as a kid, there were a number of scouts went to watch him. One report said it was one of the worst goalkeeping displays he'd seen in the professional game, but he's got something and he'll probably make it. Goalkeepers learn from their mistakes far more than outfield players do. The best young keeper at the minute is the lad at Leeds, Meslier, but he's made some howlers. Jack Walton will get better and I think the coach will stick with him.
Kelleher 22 years old goalie at Liverpool. Let in 7 goals for the under 23s against Man City on the Saturday, kept a clean sheet in his next match vs Ajax in the champions league.
Good post. Jack Butland was Dire last season. £26m. Price tag. And some are moaning about Walton because of defensive lapses. Could have been 6/7 if it wasn’t for him. Jeez. 1st goal. Should have been better defended. No closing down on several occasions. 2nd Rank bad defending. 3rd. All goals from free kicks. All goalies to blame for bad positioning happens to the best. But brilliant strike. 4th stupid mistake again in midfield. Managed to get something on it but to no avail.
