A knee gesture won't solve a thing. Clal for nurses we did that. The kneeling we did that. Why carry it on?
Im against racism bullying....all sorts of things. Racism isn't the only issue in the world but people make it out that it is but it isn't. Any racial abuse just chin them or tell them to f!ck off then problem solved

God knows. Personally, I'm sick of listening to people spouting excuses for this behaviour and trying to downplay it, too. I'd proudly take the knee for this and show my solidarity with Clarke, Vic, Romal et al. There's no way that I want to be associated with the racists.

Why would you boo your own players before they've even kicked a ball??!!

Sorry - you used the "g" - word which is a racist, discriminatory term stereotyping a section of society.

No-one is asking you to take a knee. But yeah, snowflake idiots who don't like racists and that.

The term isn't based on race but on views.

I think the point is that people booed it. You can not agree with everything BLM do and stand for, but to actively take the stance that you're against their primary aim? Equality for black people? If you are against that and demonstrate that by booing players kneeling in solidarity, then you're a racist. Simple.

Ok. So they can carry on taking the knee and add in other measures on and off the pitch to address the other issues you mentioned. How about that? Suits me.

Thing is Helen, they aren't booing their own players, they're booing everyone taking the knee. That includes the opposition players AND the officials. The FA should be all over this, but what will they do though.....?

You’ll notice it was a deliberate and sarcastic response to the initial reference to snowflakes. But you already know that.

I saw a bloke taking donations for Cats Protection recently.

I went up to him, and screamed in his face: "What about dogs, you fúcking príck?"

The amusing thing is that he's pretending he cares about LGBT and mentioning why there isn't any awareness for that - spectacularly missing that all the captain's armbands this week are rainbow coloured to promote LGBT equality.

I'm just glad nobody wished happy birthday to anyone.

    More drivel.

Racist abuse, just chin them, problem solved. Just think about that poster’s wife who won’t go to games because she’s heard racist comments. Do you think she takes comfort from knowing that you’ll chin those responsible? That’ll be a great afternoon out , won’t it? No, she wants to go to a game and be herself, be happy/sad/annoyed about the way the team play, enjoy a half time drink, or be fed up about the wait for one, blah blah blah, just like everyone else. She doesn’t want to think someone will come out with some racist bile and she won’t be comforted that you will chin them. She just wants an ordinary afternoon like the rest of the people that go to a game.

That's not true. It has a specific meaning directed to race and age as well as opinions.

I would be more impressed when a gay/bisexual player feels confident to "come out" - it's not difficult to put a pretty coloured armband on. I speak as an openly bisexual man by the way,
