Unfortunately, now Millwall have done it, many others will follow suit. I think people are being very naive to think otherwise. It will probably be when there's more safety in numbers at most grounds though...as they are essentially cowards. The number of people who have been speaking out on social media over the last few months against taking the knee is staggering.

Maybe i'm over-simplifying it, but there's a correlation between racism and stupidity. There's also a correlation between stupidity and not following Covid guidance. 2+2=Fish?

Millwall roundly condemned in the Sunday papers for their action before the Derby
game. Micah Richards and Dion Dublin both agreeing they are a disgrace.

A lot of the people posting on social media and some of those I hear at work ect, genuinely don't think of themselves as being racist. Usually starting sentences with "I'm not racist but"
I've never had to deal with racism, I have however, had to live through seeing my children being victims of discrimination due to their disabilities.
I also know very little of BLM and the political side some seem to object to. But for the life in me I can't see why people are so angry about people kneeling down for 5 seconds.

It's mad. Even if my political views were vehemently and diametrically opposed to the political views behind BLM I couldn't imagine booing those who kneel. Irrespective of the political implications there is an undeniable ongoing issue of racism. I can see people not joining in, but booing? Clear mark of a racist.

They are an absolute disgrace as is the club. I will never forget the play off final seeing those animals "having a go" before the match and seeing the sub humans running half way around wembley's upper tier to attack BFC fans.
They need banning for life and the club will know who they are.

Sounded like more than a small group on the footage earlier in the post, didn't it?

One of the first posts on there:

Any non Wall reading this, Millwall fans are not racist!
We don’t like BLM or taking the knee

That just about sums them up. Don't need to read anymore. Vile set of racists. They should all be banned from football grounds

It would have been reported if it had been heard. Or are you saying Millwall got singled out?

Did they go on to list all the anti racist actions they'd been part of?

And if I see em if it’s in earshot of me. I would politely ask em to leave. Surely the majority will stand up against these idiots. Not let one person take the brunt. As often happens btw. Turning the other cheek.

    Thoughts.?
Having read up a little on the raised fist.( As one of the black players at the Millwall game did yesterday standing not kneeling) It was widely taken over by the black power movement. But in today’s terms and prior. It is a symbol of unity for all. I would happily raise my fist as it takes it away from the BLM as a sole stance. ( although I’m aware BLM is not the sole aim but considered by many to be the case) some Americans of all ethnicities and other movements use this as a symbol of unity of fairness and understanding for all. The closed fist encapsulating all.
I find that gesture more powerful.

I'm having my own "discussion " with a Millwall fan on facebook. Strikes me Millwall had an opportunity to educate their fans and have bottled it. Night and day to how Burnley reacted straight after the plane incident.

Says a lot when their forum can't even be bothered to install a swear filter. . They seem incapable of presenting a rational argument without prodigious use of the C and F words... just one example below...

"Go **** yourselves you nosey trouble making lovely people.

**** Soros & his corporation mates. ALL lives matter.

If you find racism in that youre a thick lovely person who watches too much BBC & listens to Talk Sport."

At least ours works. I am not a prude but to think kids can access that site and be subjected to that language...... Sheesh!

Definitely missed an opportunity really, but after the way they condoned the attacks on our own supporters INSIDE Wembley 4 years ago, we shouldn't be surprised should we? Fair play for trying to educate them, but I think it'll be a waste of time

Probably but you never know. The person concerned ironically put a lot of their time and effort into helping others but I think has succumbed to the Covid conspiracy theorists. If you just ignore them then they get more and more in a bubble where everyone agrees with them.
