No - I don't think they do. The days when were owned, managed and captained by Barnsley people are gone. That doesn't bother me - I'll have 11 Martians playing for us so long as they give it their best - but you can be in no doubt that Heckingbottom would've been clear that you don't want to be losing to these. It's a tough world. No fans in the ground to sing songs about bringing on the Wednesday. Mind you, Mowatt might well be able to rattle a few cages.
I want it so badly. I work in Sheffield and they really don’t understand how much it means to me - I’ve got a couple of very reasonable Owl mates who genuinely want us to do well (as long as it’s not against them) and can’t believe my bitterness towards them.

Wouldn’t it be the most Barnsley thing ever if we stuff them Saturday. All those years of heart ache, seeing last minute goals against, seeing Frimpong getting sent off, seeing us dominate games and conceding off someone’s arse, spending absolute fortunes to sit in that dump only ever seen one victory there in my time. And the game we can’t attend we batter them? It really would sum up our time following this club. And I’ll love every second of it sitting behind my television screen if that was to happen.
I genuinely couldn’t care less about them, they’re just meh. Don’t make my top ten of teams I’m bothered about beating. Absolute non entity of a club.
