Oh... those pesky fact checkers. They are such a funny bunch! I could fill you in on all the juicy details but I don’t want to be one of those people who spoils the ending of the film by telling you that Bruce Willis was a ghost all along. But, but, but.... where is your evidence?! You have to give us evidence or we will get really angry! Ermmm... no I don’t. Watch and see. It’s much more fun that way.
That’s it Spooky.... it’s a win-win for me whatever the outcome! I love the sense of well-being that comes with making a charitable donation to a worthwhile cause and BIADS would be a more than worthy recipient.
On a different note.... I think our defence is looking pretty solid at the moment other than the occasional Anderson howler. I also think we have some good options in midfield but I would definitely be in favour of us investing some money in January on a decent striker to take some of the burden off Woodrow's shoulders. As for the management team.... I've been quite impressed with Valerien Ismael so far and I for one would have no complaints if the big man was signed up for another 4 years. (There you go dalestyke)
I think it's more that they don't know their arse from their elbow. Giuliani's performances in the courtroom have been laughably shambolic.
Don't suppose you want to put your money where your mouth is (unless you are suggesting non-consecutive second term i.e. 2024), which even then, is highly unlikely as he will probably be disgraced and possibly have served time by then and the 'penny will have dropped' with even the thickest MAGAs that they were duped by a narcissist who does not have America's interests at heart, but just his own. No? thought not. I would happily wager a couple of hundred pounds that he will NOT be re-elected president in 2021 for a second consecutive term. Why do persist with talking utter nonsense. We are all entitled to express opinions but, honestly, your really need some evidence to back them up. P.S. You are funny, although your wind up is wearing rather thin now and frankly a bit boring..
He shouldn’t be involved in any court case. Well, not any that they are trying to win. So far he’s held a ranting press conference in a garden centre, wheeled out an 80 year old woman who can’t see and a screeching maniac who got nicked for revenge porn. Solid.
This is a summary of the Georgia "case" "The new Georgia case specifically takes issue with changes made prior to the election involving mail-in ballot practices and signature matching rules. It also includes dozens of allegations of fraud based on witness affidavits, but with little evidence." Those system changes were made by the Republican administration in Georgia because of Covid. Georgia has now had 3 recounts and Biden has won every time. In the meantime Trump encourages violence against elected officials who are doing their jobs and armed militias, encouraged by him, bully women and children in their homes.
Assuming you're referencing the foiled abduction attempt? I'm unsure how he's encouraging violence when he said he was 'against any extreme violence'? As with everything, and I keep repeating this, I could find a different summary of the Georgia case. So it will all then depend on which media you consume. I've been watching US TV for five weeks straight now (multiple news stations) and I've yet to see a BBS summary that gives a decent reflection of what is going on in the US on anything Covid or Election related. There's some shocking things going on over here right now. Especially in California.
Nah you're alright.... I already have a bet with Marc (first come first served n' all that) and I'm not interested in taking anybody's money. Besides if Trump gets re-elected the satisfaction of knowing that you will have to grin and bear another 4 years of orange man bad will be far more satisfying than the measly 200 quid you are wanting to wager. As for the evidence thing.... I'm not taking a case to court so there is no requirement for me to provide any evidence. I'm merely expressing a belief in something that I think will happen in the future. If I say that I think Barnsley will beat Wycombe tonight will you be demanding evidence for that too? And... It's no wind-up (even though you are clearly winding yourself up). I genuinely think Trump could get a second term. No evidence.... just call it intuition. I'm not here to debate with anyone. I'm just here to have a discussion about the developments as they arise. If that offends or bores you I am quite happy for you to exit the discussion stage left. No-one is forcing you to participate.
I'm talking about Saturday when armed militia turned up outside the home of the Secretary of State in Michigan. Here's a link" https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/dec/07/michigan-elections-chief-trump-protesters I follow Trump on twitter if you think he has not encouraged violence then you are not keeping yourself properly informed.
Yes, you are probably right. I can't say I have been overly impressed with Rudi Giuliani either. I'm assuming you are still good for our £20 charitable bet?
Almost everyone on Twitter follows Trump on Twitter. Am I allowed to have an opinion on a case by case basis rather than you blanketing me about how informed I am? There's nothing in that link that suggests Trump encouraged it to happen, which was the point I was commenting on. It's also from a media source that asks you for donations and then talks about America being broken (which it hasn't been for the last four years by the way - unless you want to dig down in to the management of California and New York in particular).
He might not have specifically encouraged that act but he has definitely fomented discontent amongst his base in a reckless and provocative manner: “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about antifa and the left because this is not a right-wing problem.” Plus his general inflammatory rhetoric without supporting evidence (see these examples from just the last day), and his tweet simply reading "LIBERATE MICHIGAN" earlier in the year...
Not going to argue with you on some of his rhetoric, but some of it is blown up beyond what it is by the media over here, which then gives it way more airtime than it deserves. In terms of that standalone quote you can't argue, but without saying 'stand by' he was on point. But within that same sentence he said he condemned all forms of racism and hate groups, or words to that affect. That's why I'm dubious about anything I read from every media source because it's always cut to suit their own agenda. Be it Fox, CNN or anyone else. Examples of this everywhere and the problem in today's society is anything misrepresented and proved to be false is retracted in small print.
Did he? I'm struggling to find it: TRUMP: I would say almost everything I see is from the left-wing not from the right wing. WALLACE: So what are you, what are you saying? TRUMP: I’m willing to do anything. I want to see peace. WALLACE: Well, do it, sir. BIDEN: Say it. Do it. Say it. TRUMP: You want to call them? What do you want to call them? Give me a name, give me a name, go ahead who would you like me to condemn. WALLACE: White supremacists and racists. BIDEN: Proud Boys. WALLACE: White supremacists and white militias. BIDEN: Proud Boys. TRUMP: Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, I’ll tell you what: somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left because this is not a right wing problem this is a left-wing. This is a left-wing problem. . . BIDEN: He’s own FBI Director said unlike white supremacists. . . TRUMP: This is a left-wing problem.
The media source is the Guardian whose online presence is not behind a paywall but they ask for contributions to keep it going. Are you suggesting that because they ask for contributions their piece can’t be trusted? It's 36 days after the election, safe harbor deadline has passed, 302 electoral votes certified for Biden, won by 7 million votes nationwide, Trump has lost 51 court cases & yet he's still calling for election results to be overturned & 90% of GOP either encouraging or silent which is both pathetic and disgraceful. What a bunch. At the same time Trump is seeking donations to a legal fund to pay Guilliani's $20k per day fees. Past experience tells us that Rudy won't get paid like most folk who work for the Trumps and the millions collected will go where do you think?
The thing is though that it may be taken out of context if a normal person said something because they could give a ten minute speech on anti racism and accidentally make one comment that the media latches onto and uses. With trump it's the opposite. He says so much racist bigoted **** that his followers are finding the one reluctant 'of course I'm against racism ' comment which he has no choice but to say and using that as evidence that he isn't. Which was the true trump? the one who said proud boys stand by or the one who said of course he condemns racism? His followers will ignore the multiple examples of his racist words and his multiple examples of racist actions and focus on that little reluctant statement to back their man. The rest of the world gives more weight to what he regularly does and says and realises that little bit was just lip service.
