What confuses me about that article was "Since the federal death penalty was reinstated by the US Supreme Court in 1988, executions carried out by the national or federal government in the US have remained rare." How can the Supreme Court reinstate the death penalty - surely they only interpret existing laws? And the laws in 1988 allowed the death penalty for certain federal crimes. Doesn't the executive (President) or Congress/Senate make the laws and could change the law if they desired?
I suspect that there could be quite a few more executions if the Texas SCOTUS case is successful. Serious election fraud constitutes Treason, which is potentially liable to Capital Punishment in the US. I notice that Trump recently revived firing squads, hanging and the electric chair with effect from Christmas Eve so I suspect that means he doesn't plan to go easy on the Democrats that he believes have tried to steal the election. (This is just speculation on my part so I have no evidence to back it up before anyone starts berating me).
he's literally spent the transition period playing golf, killing as many people he can legally get away with and pardoning his mates.
I’m sure the fact that the Texas AG is under criminal investigation has nothing to do with his Hail Mary lawsuit. Definitely not asking for a pardon. Corrupt to the core.
More Americans died of Covid yesterday than on 9/11 or Pearl Harbour. More will probably die today than on 9/11 or Pearl Harbour. And the same again tomorrow and for the next few weeks and months.
I wouldn’t bother. He doesn’t listen. He’ll also claim he doesn’t care about the outcome despite this being the only thread that he posts in. I’m starting to doubt he’s even a Barnsley fan at this point.
Oh I know, I made the mistake of getting involved with this WUM a couple of weeks back. Just thought his errors should be pointed out. Maybe admin could create those 'factually incorrect' disclaimers for his posts like Lord Dampnut has on Twitter
Perhaps you should get on the blower to SCOTUS and enlighten them with your carefully considered legal ruling because I'm sure you could save everyone loads of time and expense. Having said all that, legal precedent suggests that any proven fraud is enough to void the election so it might not need to be all that 'serious'. If the election is thrown out the US Constitution stipulates that the vote would then be done on a one state/one vote basis. Given that the Republicans control about 28 States I would say that gives them every chance of being successful. Looks like it could be 'Four More Years' after all. Needless to say, I will highly amused if Trump wins on a technicality.
I didn't particularly care about the outcome a month or so back.... but I would say now I would certainly like Trump to win if for no other reason than to wipe the smiles from the faces of a few know-it-alls on here. I would say having a season ticket for over 20 consecutive years is sufficient to substantiate me as a genuine Barnsley fan.
Are you saying if one bloke came forward and proved that he voted as someone else they'd scratch off the whole election? And you do realise the case you cited relates to a claim in respect of land and has absolutely nothing to do with elections? Great legal analysis, I'm guessing you're not a lawyer.
There was no fraud on a scale to change the election. These few Trumpsters are holding an unofficial election to split the country. Even the average Trump voters won't want to see that happen. They'll very quickly realise where the wealth in the country is situated. They'd be bankrupt within a few months. It's all bullsh*t and bluster to set a new narrative for the next election. It's still not going to stop the many investigations into the Trump organisation. Roll on 20th January, Trump can then go back to his Ponzi University, steaks and making appearances on WWE, oh and putting his name to hotels built in dodgy parts of the world which he doesn't actually own. You know grifting like Trump also does.
Mr casual tyke, I know you’re a betting man so I’ve got a tip for you. Folk on here will laugh but I’ve got written statements and video evidence. The Lock Ness monster exists. Worth a few quid on that don’t you think? Imagine wiping the smile off people’s faces when it rears up from the watery depths.
