It’s a sad state of affairs but expected. If you have a political leaning then in situations like this you’re naturally going to side with the party you represent. Rarely do any of the Republicans or Democrats swing. Similar to some of the things our lot are getting through Parliament.

My point on protesting was more around why towns were boarding up. It wasn’t because of a worry that Republicans would riot or loot. As for your examples, when you actually know people in the US like we do you get to hear and see actual examples of what goes on. On both sides. The reporting of everything in the US is majorly biased. CNN flat out refuse to report on certain news stories. At least Fox report on it with a biased stance. Slightly lesser of two evils.

Brought a few home but happy to continue with the bombing. Screenshot_20201211_215133_com.android.chrome.jpg

You absolutely can. But some people only want to say that when they’re defending their ‘side’. It’s not a valid argument when going against their opinion.

I don’t want to play ‘Top Trumps’ on something as serious as this but bombing isn’t exclusive to Trump, so I’m not sure if your point?

‘According to new figures, the US dropped nearly three bombs every hour, 24 hours a day. Dare we think how Donald Trump will continue this legacy?’

‘While candidate Obama came to office pledging to end George W Bush’s wars, he leaves office having been at war longer than any president in US history. He is also the only president to serve two complete terms with the nation at war.’

The military has determinedly stayed apart from politics. It will continue to do so. Thank God.

First time I’ve heard Fox News being described as less than evil :)

I don’t know if the link will work but I’ve answered this before so more than happy to give my reasons.

Trump isn’t anti-healthcare he was anti-Obama care but there’s a misconception amongst some that it Obama’s healthcare was this massively popular policy. Also him being an imbecile, which I tend to agree he is at times, doesn’t affect anyone’s day to day life. I said I’d vote Republican not Trump.

I quite enjoy reading and hearing my US news from more than one media source. It allows you to discredit, rule out, and acknowledge/agree all at the same time. Their take on certain subjects vs. CNN can be enlightening (and vice versa).

I said I enjoy reading/listening to both sides of a subject regardless of the channel. The fact you’re prepared to rubbish Fox News on everything feels to me a little closed minded to be honest so I’m happy to stick with watching multiple news channels :)

As long as you're not watching OANN or Newsmax. They make Fox news look progressive...

The Supreme Court is not supposed to have political leaning though. In fact Amy Coney-Barrett is the first justice in history to be confirmed with no cross-aisle votes. In fact up until very recently it required 2/3 of the senate to confirm.

The justices are appointed for their ideological leanings, but the second they join the court they are expected to be bipartisan. Unfortunately that stopped some time ago.

whatever other reason you might have for voting for Trump if you would do so in full knowledge of his racism sexism and misogyny the kindest reading would ge they you got not care about those things as long as things got better for you as an individual. Whatever else you were voting for you would be publicly supporting racism sexism and misogyny.

It’s not a TV Network? Doesn’t host live debates, produce shows, or interview anyone in a non-print format.

But I’m not a fan. I’m more talking Sky News, BBC, Channel 4, etc.
