Due to magnitude of tomorrow`s game I think the matchday thread should start right now - if only to impress upon any BBS reading players the importance of beating South Yorkshire`s biggest club. Rubbish as they have been I can`t help feeling that Tony P will have got them fired up for this one following the abject showing they put on at `Udders in the week. It`s time to put our terrible track record of playing them to bed with a 5* performance - I think we will have to win the battle tomorrow before we can win the war! I know I`m being dramatic but losing to that shower really does hurt - I need bragging rights working amongst Fowls for 20 years. COYR.
No matter what some of their fans may say, their players and supporters on the day are as fired up as we are, in many recent meetings they've wanted it more. Have to make sure thats not the case tomorrow. We broke a 70 year hoodoo in our first post-break game at Loftus Road. This is only an 11 year one. Have at the ********.
Despite our rotten luck and howlers that have generally cost us in these games, a win in Tomorrow’s game will depend on what we don’t do. If We keep our discipline, minimise the errors and stop giving the ball away so cheaply especially when not being pressurised, we can win this. I think it’s crucial we get off to a good start, get an early goal should see us win comfortable. Here’s hoping. COYR
Listening to some clips from their press conference today it seems their players are not getting paid in full or on time. Trouble at mill.
Not watching but judging from comments on here should the following ..BBC comment...... "Goal! Sheffield Wednesday 1, Barnsley 0. Josh Windass (Sheffield Wednesday) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the centre of the goal. Assisted by Barry Bannan." read, instead, ... "Goal! Sheffield Wednesday 1, Barnsley 0. Josh Windass (Sheffield Wednesday) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the centre of the goal. Assisted by jack Walton" ? Just asking??
Why are we persisting with knocking the ball in the air to a forward line, with no physical presence, against a team of giants. Baffles me, especially when we have players with bags of technical ability like Styles, James, Woodrow, Brittain, etc..
This long ball $hit from the defence is really hard to watch. What's the point in having the quality of James in midfield if we just pump it long from defence.
