Mike Tyson before money, the full influence of Don King, the woman and all other garbage knocks out everyone past, present and future. Never seen a fighter like him.

Happens with most Heavyweights they gas easily. My concern is his concentration. He's still not switched on after being held at times. He doesn't drop back or turn side on to narrow the target and the ring space. He got tagged a few times tonight all following a bit of holding and the ugly stuff.

I loved Tyson. But I disagree.

For him against a Fury/Joshua, see him against Lennox.

He was too small. It's a different breed, this.

Fury would box his head off, It might go points but no way is AJ winning rounds. Way too fast on his feet.
Though I'm not sure it will happen anytime soon if at all.

Lewis was the best of that era, jab the best tool. Can't see a.j beating fury but in the heavyweight division he has a punchers chance.

True. Lots of times he was too busy grinning & messing about in clinches. Fury would be licking his lips at that

Tyson was washed up when he fought Lewis. Those first 4/5 years he knocked out big big Heavyweights all much taller than him. He was an animal, he knocked out all comers. He bull rushed em, was quick on his feet got inside and had hands of lead. Super technical boxers with good to great reputations were dispatched inside 1 to 3 rounds. It took 4 years for folk to find out he had asthma, and that's why he wanted to demolish opponents.

Like I say, I'm a big Tyson fan. But he came up short (literally) against the best.

I agree with all you say but if the fight is signed he'll train like crazy. Rob Mac will know exactly what will be needed, I think it'll be a classic and too close to call. Nailed on though if signed it'll be a 2 match deal.
These 2 are the best in the division, and if signed the debate I'm sure will be akin to a Brexit debate nationally. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think it'll be a pleasant build up.

Lewis - for me - is one of the all-time greats. Good argument for the best ever.

Lewis hadn't lived the lifestyle of Mr Tyson. God the sh*t he did was unreal, criminal in some cases and knackered him mentally and physically. He was only there to service debts. Lewis was a great champ and like the Fury and Joshua debate I'd love to have seen em both in their fighting primes.

Lol! Knew he'd tweet something like this. I honestly can't see the fight coming to life until the 6th at the earliest. They've got too much respect for each other's strengths. It'll be a chess match, Joshua now has a better grasp of the game and Tyson never goes out all guns blazing. Just hope they get it signed before they're old men. Mayweather and Pacman was 4 years too late. Smart if you're Mayweather mind.

Lewis was also way past his best when he fought Tyson. He’d been talking about retiring for a while before that fight & then fought once more before hanging up the gloves.

When I was a kid I watched Tyson videos & thought he was amazing but the more I’ve watched boxing the more I’ve thought he was an on top bully. He never responded well to adversity. Every time a fight got tough he looked for a way out. He doesn’t have a single great win on his record. Might sound harsh but it’s the truth.

You put a prime Mike Tyson in with say a prime Vitali Klitschko. 5 foot 11 v 6 foot 9. Vitali iron chin, never been down amateur or pro, does the rounds well, heavy hitter, solid jab. What’s Tyson going to do? He’s just going to get busted up & eventually fold.

Lewis was a bit strange as he could be hurt but on other occasions he looked like he’d got an iron chin. My guess is at least 9 times out of 10 him v Tyson goes the same way as it did in any era but just fought at a faster pace.

Wlad you give Tyson more of a chance as he was chinny but he’s as bigger puncher as there’s ever been in the heavyweight division. Is Mike Tyson taking the left hook that sparked Pulev off Wlad? I doubt it.

As others have said it’s a different era. Remember how tiny Carlos Takam looked against Joshua? He’s a few inches taller than Tyson. Tyson would be all on even reaching Tyson Fury’s chin for example.
