Well I certainly don't hate the bloke, he always comes across as very personable ( bit incomprehensible - bomb alley and all that) but I do think he is a legend in his own mind manager wise. It can't be a coincidence that even after being given the money Brizzle gave him, ultimately his time there pretty much mirrored our experience with him, their fans comments in the last few weeks could pretty much have been cut and pasted from ours on here.
brcause despite having a fantastic team he got them playing the worst football I have ever seen us play. A rare achievement he turned a silk purse into a sows ear.
So they've won their first league game with him in charge. If you're a gambler, get on them to win the next 4 or 5. Then lose the 5-10 games after that.
Just had a look at their board, usual Little Lee comments, some think he's good , some baffled, some don't but are OK while they are winning Johnson post match: All about the protocols: Can't argue with that. WTF is protocol?: what the sodding hell is he talking about?: There is no reason for anyone to not speak in plain, simple English: He’s awful and amazing at the same time : Nearly cringed myself inside out when he mentioned the front pomo - but love it at the same time : jargon is often used by unintelligent people to make people think they’re more intelligent than they are. It sometimes works but is usually found out: He's the type of berk who'll be class when we're winning 0-4 away but irritating as **** when he's rambling on about protocols after losing 0-2 at home: We've got our very own 'Alan Partridge' of football management in the making here like:
The 9 defeats were shocking and he should have been sacked only the fact he had a 3 year contract that kept him from been sacked the performances were poor but not the worst I've ever seen from.a Barnsley side. He then turned it round and won 7 on spin before leaving.
An awful manager marginally about morais in recent times and slightly better than Spackman. Awful non football with a very talented team. .
Wilsons 2nd spell was similar to some of those mentioned. Never forget that cold January day at the keepmoat going for a draw failing to get a shot on target all game or a pass for that matter with conor, scowen,Holgate and other good players in the team. Failing to win away in four months.
mice little interest in Wilson. In his defence he had to set up a team with 5 pro players 4 weeks before the start of the season but the standard of football under him was very poor. Though watching Johnson’s centre backs playing it 253464 times a game before holding it took boredom to new levels.
Patrick must have respected him because he had him along as his guest of honour when we beat Oxford United in the Johnstone Paint Final at Wembley explaining that LJ had played a big part in getting us there in the first place and that ought to be recognised.
