I know this is a daft question but what is your idea of a pub if it isn't sat at a table drinking with friends?
I don’t sit on my own, you know. Since the first lockdown, my job has become full time office based. Four walls! We’re then instructed to stay home. Four walls! Sometimes a bit of company and a different ‘four walls’ is a nice change from this ‘new normal’. I don’t want to dance on the tables, just have a pint, a chat and laugh, maybe watch football on the tv in different surroundings.
I'm hoping the risk assessment will be different in a year's time never mind ten. Or are you as dismissive about vaccines as you are about the virus. I'll take my chance with getting the shits or the sniffles like I did before.
Infections didn't increase at all when the pubs opened in July and that was when they were actually open as pubs and no masking policy.
This is a load of rubbish. No-one knows for sure where they got infected, so let's stop quoting settings figures like they are worth hearing. It's impossible to work out for sure what day you got infected, never mind the wheres and hows. It's pure guess work and therefore of little value. The thing we do know is the longer you stay in mixed indoor company, the more chance there is of transmission.
Seeing both deaths and infections rising daily again I suspect Boris will be under pressure to scrap his Christmas five day plan.
That there London set for tier 3 as cases spike up. South and West Yorkshire cases dropped by 40-50%. Expected to remain in tier 3 even though some areas have seen cases drop below the number per 100,000 of several other regions that are in tier 3.
https://public.tableau.com/profile/...oronaviruscasesKirklees/PublicFacingDashboard Here in Kirklees we have 3 areas with zero cases in the past week, infections down by a quarter in 7 days and from at one point being in the top 5 worst areas of the country we are down to 68th yet we will be probably kept in tier 3 which shows getting cases down isn't everything when it comes to decisions on tiers.
Just been announced a variant of Covid 19 has been uncovered. Could be a nightmare unless the vaccine they've discovered won't combat it.
