I love this Saturday Tuesday arrangement when we're winning. Interesting stat: we've won 6, drawn 2 and lost 0 against teams currently below us in the league (W1, D2, L7 against teams above us). Preston are 15th, 2 points and places behind us. The team who we were comfortably beaten by twice last season. I do think both sides are a much different proposition this season though. We've not beaten Preston at home since 2011, however the defeat at Oakwell was our first against them since 2009. In recent history, most home games between us have ended in a draw. In terms of current form, Preston have the 3rd best away record in the league. It was the best until recently, however 3 defeats in their last 4 aways has seen them drop down the table. These are their only 3 away defeats of the season. Preston's form is inconsistent to say the least, so it's difficult to predict an outcome. They seem to either win or lose very comfortably. With that in mind, I'm going to back us to get the points, and hope Preston have another off night. 3-0 Woodrow, Styles, Andersen.
There’s a fair bit of pressure on Alex Neil abs they’re not playing well. Ben Pearson is out along with a few other players. If we are ‘on it’ then we have a great chance of another victory.
I think they're a nippy little side going forward and can mix it up at times. I'd hope Pearson gets sent off early and we run out winners. That said head says we'll lose 0-2.
I'm trying not to get too carried away, but I fancy us to beat anyone outside the top 10. It's all about keeping it tight at the back when they inevitably have spells of pressure.
I predict a narrow 2-1 win. I also predict I will yet again be cursing our constant needlessly giving the ball away and our poor ball retention in the attacking third.
There was a time not too long ago when I was not very confident about games and predictions. However I now feel confident we can win or at least put in a good performance. I think it will be another 2-1 tonight to the Reds.
VI doesn't play for draws; it's win or lose. That said, all teams draw sooner or later and I can't help feeling it could be our turn tonight. A slightly pessimistic 1-1. Earlier in the season, I'd have taken that, but now I'll be disappointed with a single point. That's how far we've come this season.
Tough to call. They are without Bauer Pearson Bodin and Moult and have doubts over Huntington and Potts. Been on the Preston forum and by all accounts they have a number of high earners out of contract at the end of the season ( Johnson Browne Davies Hughes Pearson Fisher) and a lot of their fans believe those players have stopped grafting.we shall see tonight. Hope we win.
