Well, on the plus side, we might get to see that image of him on Sky Sports, where he looks like he's deciding what to order in the takeaway.
Not sure I understand the logic on this one, especially after getting a draw away at City last night. But then since when has sacking managers been logical lol
lol mate. When I was working on shift one Saturday night we usually had a curry takeaway. This one weekend the gaffer said it's on the company as we'd hit some target or other. Anyways, one of the blokes ordered: 2 starters, set meal for 4, extra rice, naan and chips, bombay potatoes and more. The total was something like £80, more than half taken up by this one bloke. We thought he was taking the ****, going to take it all home to feed his family..... No, he ate the lot, all gone no messing.
A draw at Man City is just not deemed good enough anymore. That's just how much Pep has gone down the pan.
Sad news really, watching Slaven's interview after the game,he seemed to know it was coming. I don't see the logic of the decision, especially if he is replaced by someone like Sam A. They have found it hard this season with a team of no big stars, but performances have been good. Eventually results may have improved. Again, sad news, apparently WBA is owned by a Chinese consortium, didn't know this until today.
Poor old Slaven. Victim of his own success.? Just emphasises the yawning gap between the Championship and the Premiership. He had the Albion there or thereabouts all season in the Championship, but without massive investment in Premiership quality players, it was always going to be a big ask to keep them there. For West Brom, you can also read Fulham as well.
Tough gig upon getting promoted. Whats the stats on managers getting fired during 1st season. Expectations way too high. If you dont get fired 1st season up, good chance in season 2. Maybe its better to get promotion and the resign and go to a newly relegated team with most money and just keep getting promoted?
I think Fulham will be alright. West Brom have a team of cloggers. Fulham have footballers. Cloggers can't change things up but footballers can become more streetwise.
Too many fans and boards panic and demand a change without giving the incumbent their backing, patience & time to adapt to a higher league. .
