I’m presuming Leicester are paying the remainder but thought I read somewhere we are paying 10K a week

That's a fair whack of cash for a club like ours. Actually, it should be a fair whack for most clubs at our level, but plenty seem willing to pay that and more for players with nowhere near the ability of Matty James.

Keep loaning him for as long as possible and see how things pan out. One thing in our favour is that he must be enjoying his football at the minute.

Cant swear by the accuracy of what I read mind, it also had Ritz & Freiser on more than Woodrow and Mowatt(before new contract for CW).

scary the wages of players these days, but he seems a great bloke does Matty so lets hope we crack open the piggy bank and keep him till end of season at least,he can give the younger lads something to aspire to

He wants to stay and been on £32k a week for god knows how long. If he enjoys his time you just never know. He mentions in his interview that we took a chance on him so he may just be happy at the club. Im hoping thats the case but in reality about 5% chance.

Leicester and BR seem to look after their players. I can imagine if he’s not needed in squad, they’ll let him remain on loan to us, with us paying a contribution.

Come Summer, I’ve no idea what will happen. He wants 1st team football, and also the money - he’ll drop money for a guaranteed starting place, but it’s how much he’ll drop.....

if it's 32k p/w as reported then he obviously can't expect to maintain this income at any other club and will be looking at best offers once his current deal ends, we can't compete and will probably get loaned out to someone like Middleborough in the new year

When Leicester were promoted (same year we went down) they made a 90+ million pound loss.

No way we can get even half of that amount . Can't see how MJ would take such a pay cut no matter how much he has enjoyed his stay here.

He's said today he hopes that talks can take place in the next few days to keep him at Oakwell
until the end of the season as he's really enjoying his second spell with us.

I wonder if we made a cheeky offer for his brother Reece who plays full back for Doncaster Rovers,
we might be in pole position to tempt Matty to sign permanently if he's released by Leicester City.
I would think that some Premiership clubs might be interested in taking him, but given that he's
suffered some career threatening injuries in the past, he might not be up to playing at Premiership level on
a week in week out basis.

He must have been a real talent as a young player. He signed for Manchester United and played
for their Under 18's when he was only fourteen years old and played at England level at U16, 17,
19 and 20 levels. Manchester United have a track record of offering promising young players very
lucrative contracts. I see they have signed Kai Rooney today, the eleven year old son of Wayne and
    Colleen Rooney.

except with sports players its always about money. Their careeer is short and their after life is a limited career elsewhere, so it's a case of make hay while the sun shines.... and I cannot fault them for that
