Yeh, they mean the scientists that are on the payrol and tow the line, all other scientists and epidemiologists with a differing opinion are conspiricy theorist..
I really don't agree with that approach once cases in a population reach a certain level. I think mass testing is a complete waste of money, as is track and trace once you've reached that level. I think investment should have been made into tests that give instant results for anyone working with/visiting vulnerable people. I think the public should be much better informed on how early intervention for breathing difficulties yields far better results. And I think investment should have been made into treating people at home with mild breathing difficulties with oxygen before they became critically ill.
old people will stop dieing?,well until they die of something else and others will not get sick for few days hopefully[/QUOTE] "Well until they die of something else" well it better not be Flu or we should demand a lockdown every year. But if we are basing lockdowns off of cases which we are told the vaccine may not stop how will we ever know its "safe" Honestly I'm past understanding it, none of the response makes any sense or seem proportional or rational. A personal positive note is everytime we lockdown I end up getting bonuses.
You need to get it right regarding the deaths. 3000 people havent died from Covid. They have died within 28 days of a positive test for Covid regardless of the actual cause of death. As an example of a Covid death - as stupid as it sounds. You test positive on the 1st of December. You isolate etc. On the 27th of December you go out for a walk and you get hit over the head with a hammer by a smackhead . It goes down as a "Covid Death" on the stats. If you went out on the 29th and got your head caved in it would be recorded as blunt force trauma.
Don't get me wrong - I don't think that test and trace is equivalent to testing asymptomatic people - that has massive bayesian issues and I was one of the first on here to flag it. When I talk about test and trace I mean tracing contacts of confirmed cases, in which case bayesian issues are less relevant.
how many people do you need to register a new religion? Seem to remember it on the census. Barnsley fc or football could become a religion. Loophole there i reckon.
I don't think anyone in their right mind wants a lockdown but see the necessity of it under the circumstances.
You've let your adult daughter move in with you from uni... The level of hypocrisy from some people astounds me.
The BBS confuses me. I’ve read tonnes of stuff on here slating the government for easing restrictions over Xmas. Now they tighten restrictions the BBS is up in arms again. This BSS is a ******* strange place at times.
My aunty is part of that last. She died with covid. She died of a heart attack that followed about 10 years of living with a heart condition but she's part of your figures because she tested positive on entry to hospital about a day before she died.
It's hypocritical to call for tougher measures whilst taking advantage of the measures just because you're allowed. If you actually believe that for safety measures should be tougher then I'm sorry but you should already be CHOOSING to live with those tougher measures. It's hypocritical to say they should be tougher while moving an adult into your home just so you can spend Christmas together.
Uni students csn go home. She's not out partying, she's been in clinics and has had to be very conscious of rules.
There maybe an issue with these new rules. ITs in direct conflict of the Parliamentary vote over the tiers/lockdown
They CAN but they don't have to. It's hypocritical to call for tougher measures but take full advantage of the relaxed measures because it suits you. You have been vocal that you don't think households should be allowed to mix at Christmas. Your daughter resides at uni yet because you want to you are allowing her to move into your home for Christmas. If that isn't mixing I dont know what is. Moving her in whilst critisising rules that allow households to mix is hypocritical can you really not see that?
