Pointed it out a week ago infact I asked the same question....personally I dont like then ...look shabby and cheap....
They’re not socks they’re leg warmers socks are worn over the feet which is the white bit the red and pink part is separate so is a leg warmer as they wore in fame in the 80’s
Most players cut the foot bit off the sock and then tape the remaining bit to the sports sock they are wearing inside the boot. I’m not sure what to make of it, it seems a bit OTT The top should be white however
I cringe when I see this on holiday abroad, lol. (well I used to when we could travel abroad lol) You can tell the English a mile off
I knew we had them in the 70s, didn't know about the 80s though (however I guess one of those was the stars kit?). I somehow managed to confuse myself and thought you might mean that footballers in general look best in white socks.
