We aren't talking about the balance of whether lockdown is good/bad for the economy/businesses/lifestyle/mental health/whatever. I simply said that without a lockdown there would have been more deaths - a virus that thrives on human to human contact would have infected and killed more people without a lockdown. What a lockdown is/whether it's correct policy/long and short term effects is a completely different matter though.
The virus and the mutations are so dangerous that over here with community testing they have decided to have four days off from it. They must have had a word with covid.
