Too late mate. We left the EU almost a year ago.
    Great idea though!

This. I've always said that Thatcher was genuinely evil, but at least she was good at it. This bunch of crooks can't even get that right.

BBC interviewed Starmer on Saturday evening after Johnson's public address on the new tier system. The only point he made, which he repeated 3 times in answer to three different questions, was that the exact same announcement should have been made on Wednesday as that's when he had asked the PM about the new variant of the virus. He was happy as a pig in **** about the lockdowns with not a single criticism or alternative to what had been announced. But he was spitting feathers it hadn't happened on Wednesday and that the country had been let down completely because we hadn't been told that Christmas was over three days earlier.

He's beyond useless. The country is fc*ked. Utterly shafted by the worst government we have ever had. But he can't think of single reasonable alternative to the colossal mess the Tories have made. I actually fear it would be worse if he had to make a decision because there isn't one in him.

Labour under Starmer - exactly the same as the Tories but 3 days earlier.

Tbf to Starmer he did want the lockdown for over half term and these silly tiers were solely a Tory idea.

But he didn't oppose the tiers remember. In fact he instructed his party not to oppose them

But wasn’t the vote a choice between the restrictions proposed and no restrictions at all?

Starmer needs to find a way to stop them putting these “this or nothing” votes to the house at the 11th hour

I could be wrong but I think it was a choice between the restrictions or making bozo come up with an alternative and having a second vote. Sadly hes done nothing at all since getting the job

    I
agree, he’s in a really delicate position at the moment, and that goes for brexit as well.

Think your last sentence is the clue, he’s going to attract hate from the trots because he doesn’t want to collectivise the UK. He has consistently eviscerated Johnson at the dispatch box, the Labour Party needs 2 things - someone that the middle classes can trust won’t screw them, and someone the working class feel is listening to them. Starmer ticks the first box, jury out on the second one for now. Corbyn ticked neither.

I'm incensed at this latest decision because not all people have their own vehicle's. The Christmas being one day on the 25th is laughable. It needed to be left as it was or not at all. Now people can't stay overnight and it's a flying visit. I've now got to prepare Christmas dinner round time slots.

At least I'll get boxing day to myself now though to watch Jeff and Kempton in peace.

They have been aware of it since September then during lockdown saw cases rising in areas where its dropping in almost every other but still lowered restrictions and told everyone there would be relaxation at Christmas for 5 days even when the variant in the virus had been put out to the public Boris was staunch in his support of relaxation. Less than a week later our border is closed and people have had to cancel plans that any normal person could see were a mistake when they were announced. That's just one massive balls up in an ever growing list that started this time last year when they started to renage on the manifesto that won them an 80 seat majority.

I feel sorry for NHS staff who work Christmas Day and are now being told that they can't see anyone Boxing Day. My sister in law is one of them and she's barely seen her parents and now her usual Boxing Day meal with them has been rubbished....

Yes, all correct, and the gullible still prefer to blame the public, he,s uturned every decision he,s made, decisions he was advised against to start with, he,s a very arrogant man, a genuine narcicist that doesn,t react well to advice or criticism from others and takes no responsibility for his actions, but hey, he goes on a zip line and talks ********, overall he,s a r8 laugh, so he,ll do..oh, and he,s getting brexit done..
