    The government are basically saying this virus isn't important enough to stop you going to work and risking your life. However, it's deadly enough to stop you doing things you want to do afterwards.

    It's hypocrisy of the highest order.

    Even the most competent Government would find it hard to be completely rational and consistent when devising rules, and it's not a job I envy. I just think this one is making a really poor fist of it.

    They could easily have made provision to let health care workers change their days over to allow them not to worry about missing out, especially after the service they've given, but they couldn't even do that.

    They put London in Tier 2 when cases were rising faster than any other area in the UK. The cynic in me would say that was to get the shops open for Christmas and boost the economy. Regent street and Oxford street were packed with shoppers and lo and behold, cases go out of control. So let's blame this mutant virus when there's no evidence to support that it is to blame for the spike. The science says that there are already thousands of mutations but this one conveniently pops along to dig BoJo out of a hole has created. Problem is he didn't realise the whole of Europe would isolate the island.

    yeah that’s my missis. Working 12 hour nights from tomorrow for 4 days so we had thought we could delay things til Boxing day and now that’s ****** too.
