You are more knowledgeable of the US Constitution than I am so I will leave you discredit this route to victory...

Very decisive. I don't she lands well across the whole of the US at all and the Dems will be aware of that.

Who knows on Trump. For all the mocking, and the jokes about 'Joe's Basement' (which are true), his support and work rate is incredible and under-represented in the media. They show the soundbites that get the clicks and the headlines, but his attendance numbers at rallies pre-election, post-election, and the ovation he got at the Army v Navy game last week are all seriously impressive - if you take your view of him out of the equation.

That’s not how any of this works. That’s just lunacy.

Pence has no direct power over the joint session on the 6th January. He’s there as a formality to count the votes, that’s it.

None of which impressed the Supreme Court, or any of the other 50 or so courts Trump's circus hawked this nonsense around.

You could be right but I have read statements from at least two US Constitutional Lawyers who say that is how it would play out. We’ll soon find out on 6th January 2021 either way, but for now if they believe Trump will win I will trust their judgement.

Did they find that written in human excrement on the wall of a padded cell?

My favourite bit is probably Pelosi ripping up a copy of Trump's speech setting a precedent that allows Pence to tear up election results.

I think you’ll find that SCOTUS rejected the case because they didn’t agree that Texas had suffered injury and didn’t get as far as commenting on the evidence of fraud itself.

I know the next question will be ‘Where is your evidence of fraud?’ So I’ve provided a link to a comprehensive report detailing the different types of fraud that were perpetrated in the key swing states.

    https://edgarcountywatchdogs.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/The-Immaculate-Deception-12.15.20-1.pdf

Whether you choose to believe the report or otherwise is entirely up to you. Ultimately, what you or I think makes no difference at all. If the Constitutional lawyers are right the only thing that will matter is whether or not Mike Pence believes it and I have a sneaky suspicion he will.

Yes, I don’t expect he will literally tear anything up. Just metaphorically.

Yes I suspect there are, and whichever one interprets the Constitution correctly will surely prevail.

It's probably not going to be the one quoted on Infowars.

Define impressed though? The Senate discussed this last week and they admitted it wasn't a rejection of the case per say, and they used a phrase for it that essentially meant the appeal wasn't focused enough on a specific claim that would have allowed them to rule any differently. They also admitted that there was enough in the claim that demands the public deserve to see post-election investigation of how voting was handled in certain states, but not an overturn.

How much do you actually know about her? Not challenging you're opinion, just interested.

And by survive four years of Trump can you point me in the direction of what they've survived? Not just soundbites of his stupidity, but things that have affected the American people negatively.

I’m not going to get into it but I know so many Americans whose lives have been made significantly worse by Trump. So please don’t try and suggest it hasn’t happened.

American Politics isn’t my specialty though did form part of my degree so I maintain a working knowledge of it including Pelosi.

as for surviving. Let’s look at his Covid response. Absolutely lethal and caused untold deaths and suffering. In a wider scale his actions around climate change and the Paris Accord are shameful and have endangered every single Gale person on the planet.

Delivering 20 million vaccines by the end of the year through Operation Warp Speed. Closing down the borders despite being accused of it being a racist act by the opposition, including the President elect, who were actively encouraging people to continue going out and the completed complete u-turns. Testing availability that far eclipses a lot of European countries, especially ours. Less than 0.92% of the population have sadly passed away with Covid on the death certificate, but there's far more to be sceptical of on that number than even over here in terms of the validity of that number. Let's excuse Cuomo for the 30,000 deaths in New York from flooding the care homes. And let's excuse Gavin Newsom for the businesses and livelihoods being destroyed in California right now (add the LA Mayor to that too).

If his Covid response was 'absolutely lethal' he wouldn't have got anywhere near 73 million votes in the election. I'm not saying it was a good response, but it's nowhere near as bad as the media have portrayed and a lot of people in the US lay the blame at the governors running the states.
