Not to take the shine off another epic win but I can’t for the life in me see the love for the guy this time round. He’s been poor and I’ve tried to give him the benefit of the doubt on many occasions due to his injury problems.

Injuries don’t cause you to misplace nearly every pass you try and attempt

If he carries on in this fashion I’d be reconsidering extending his loan

I must admit watching him today I couldn't imagine him back in a premier team.

I was thinking the same. Don’t get me wrong, he was a class above first loan but this time round. Different player completely

We've won nine games (of the 13 he's played) since he returned.

This has to be a comedy thread. Even the BBS isn't this dim, surely?

Can you see him getting game time at Leicester?

71% pass accuracy today. Only Frieser was better (77%).

    Mowatt? 44%.

    I'm really not feeling this.

No. But I can see clubs being willing to give him a decent Championship level wage, maybe questions over length of contract though

Not a chance, no. They have a number of world class midfielders. But I'm replying to the OP, who suggests he's been poor and can't pass and maybe shouldn't be here.

What's the best site to use for these kind of stats? I can never find the exact stat I'm looking for no matter where Google takes me

Matty James has brought a calming influence to the midfield, and I think the results and games have shown this since his arrival

Leicester will be top 6 possibly even top 4 this season so no shame in that I think this thread is abit silly.

It is a comedy thread. It’s almost like some people desperately need to find fault.

He didn’t have his best game for us today.
But, he’s an exceptional footballer. He has an extra second on the ball than others around him. Such a natural talent. Hope we can keep him for the rest of the season.

Unfortunately players like him are just not that appreciated by British football fans. We’ve torn down many players playing a similar role IE Jordan Henderson. Yet it’s always shown on tv, Liverpool and England players saying their first name on the team sheet would be.... Jordan Henderson.

In Germany, Italy and Spain this type of player are talked in the same breath as the big hitters, the Lewandowski, Messi etc. I think it’s that good old English mentality.

James is a class act, and would walk into 22 of the 24 championship clubs starting 11. They do the ugly side of the game so well, a lot of people don’t even realise they’re doing it. Wonder why Mowatt has scored more goals? Because James playing that role allows Mowatt the time and space to be able to do it.

I dare say if we take him out of the team, you’d soon see how much he does do.

Not getting this at all. Still class today, even if there were 3 ahead of him for MoM.
As influential this time around as he was superb 1st time around.
And he would get into a Prem side and be comfortable. Esp with better players around him.

We get a Rolls Royce at Barnsley and people still want to take the Avenger out on their daily commute.

We'll miss him when he is gone.
