Where's that from fella. Just had a quick look on their forum and they seem to think it will be a last minute decision if the game against us goes ahead... https://boards.footymad.net/showthread.php?t=38270101
In the Terms and Conditions that we all ticked the box to say we read, it says "If EFL and Broadcasting partners permit" so you can't claim false advertising. I'm annoyed with the EFL and I think it would be a good gesture for the club to pay for the game for reserved+ members, but they're not under any obligation to do so.
It is false advertising though to had terms and conditions that contradict the information used to advertise otherwise you would have Argos advertising an item with a clear description and it would be legal for them to have buried in the terms and conditions page "although we advertise the item as being a ps5 you are only buying a penny chew". It just isn't legal and is false advertising. They also falsely advertised the shirts on seats things, had ignored the tunnel thing till Dan's kicked up a fuss and completely falsely advertised last year's tickets. Sorry but people need to stop defending the indefensible
I don't think the club can be blamed though if they A) Didn't know about the christmas midweek game not being included at the time and B) Are literally unable to provide the service. They haven't been provided with any codes, so I'm not sure what you expect them to do. It's not their platform. Sending a tenner to the fans with Reserved+ is the idea I mentioned the other day, but that's not exactly normal operating procedure and the club are under no obligation to do so, that would be a gesture.
Why do you think they are under no obligation? I didn't buy a season pass off the efl I bought it off Barnsley FC. It is their responsibility to provide the service paid for. If I hire a plumber to fit my bathroom and he in turn hires an electrician to fit the shower it is still the plumbers responsibility to make sure the shower is fitted. He wouldn't be able to steal my money and then just say 'oh sorry you aren't getting the shower fitted anymore, the electrician has said you arent' it would be his responsibility to sort it out and if needed pay for a new electrician. You are only defending the club out of loyalty to them, you wouldn't do so if it was any other company because it is indefensible
By purchasing them themselves if needed in order to provide the advertised content which still says all midweek games. Tuesday is midweek therefore Barnsley FC are advertising it as being included in the reds reserved plus season pass.
A sobering and depressing thought. I still think if other none essential businesses have to shut so should football clubs. I can't see me putting another chunk of money into a season ticket if we aren't looking st going back to normal by next season. The break from going has also seen me lose a lot of interest in football too. As well as we are doing, I've only watched about half of the home games and even then I've drifted in and out. I'm finding it thoroughly depressing. Asked my mate yesterday if he watched the game said he forgot about it. This is a season ticket holder who normally goes to upwards of 15 away games a season. Hoping it's just winter blues and when I can go again I get back into it.
That's the thing. Interest is so low. I watched yesterday's game while doing something else completely yesterday so wasn't paying attention. I didn't bother with the first 15 minutes because I'd forgot and the TV was just on in the background for the rest of the game. And our club is so stupid they want to alienate fans further? Really?
I am not being funny but if you have lost interest my friend , then sack it off & ask for a refund & then in the hope we eventually get back to some kind of normality then your enthusiasm might return & once again take up the mantle , I just get the impression despite things going well at the club , everything & anything about the club seems to get to you , if thats the case then its not worth it .
To be honest my interest level is now so low I'm not really bothered what games are available and what aren't. I'm desperate to go back but then the games I've seen with the limited crowd in also look depressing.
That's not the case. I hate our owners for the disgraceful way they've acted and their refusal to apologise but the actual club I love. I've said already that the media team do a fantastic job, I'm really proud of the team and the manager, I think the lights the other week were fantastic etc. The employees are all something to be proud of (except whitey obviously) but I do believe that they shirk their responsibilities at times
It’s not indefensible. You’re getting your knickers in a knot over this, most aren’t. The EFL have classified this as a weekend game. The EFL have dictated therefore that this is a weekend away game and do not issue the club any codes to redeem on iFollow, an EFL owned streaming platform. It’s a Tuesday 7:45 kickoff. It’s a midweek game. The EFL have decided otherwise. The club gives the codes out which it receives, the club cannot be held responsible for the ridiculous decisions made outside of the club. The terms and conditions we all agreed to clearly say subject to EFL approval. That is absolutely nothing like advertising a penny chew as a PS5 and you know it. There was no false advertising whatsoever. It would be false advertising if the game was designated a midweek game and the club said it wasn’t issuing codes as its Christmas week. They aren’t. Your anger towards the club is misplaced at best - and arguably downright ridiculous. I’m pretty narked myself - but not with the club; although to be honest I find it more funny that the EFL can think they can class a Tuesday night as a weekend than anything. I strongly suggest you carefully read any contracts you sign in the future for exclusion clauses. You mention yourself the reserved plus offer is still on the website. You’re right - and if you read it properly you will know exactly why the club can’t issue a code for the game. It’s not their call. If the club or its lawyers thought there was an issue, do you not think it might have occurred to them to remove it?
It is illegal to have terms and conditions that contradict the advertised product. It's as simple as that.
Dear Amazon Prime Customer RE: Your Purchase of The Wire (streamed) - Season 1 HBO - copyright owners of The Wire - have informed us that Episode 5 does not form part of the Season 1 package as it was originally aired on a Tuesday. You can watch Episodes 1-4 as part of the season you purchased, and episodes 6-13, but not episode 5, even though we said you could when you bought it. If you wish to view this episode, please purchase it separately. Got a problem with that? Take it up with HBO because that's how we fly now. Kind Regards The Amazon Prime Team PS - We're keeping all your payment.
Sorry St , its with you commenting about the match being on the tele & you not bothering about it , I misunderstood & thought you meant your interest had gone & hence my comments
Interest in watching the games with no real meaning has gone yes. For a game such as the Rotherham game or the Wednesday game no it's still there but for a home game like Huddersfield which I would normally be watching live yes the interest isn't there much but that's the same in general with TV games, I haven't watched any of the recent England games and rarely watch a premier League game, in fact other than Barnsley I don't remember the last full game I sat through
You’re being facetious I know but this happens all the time. There many occasions I’ve started watching a show on Netflix for it to be removed half way through my watching, or for not all movies in a series to be available etc.
