Aye they were right all along. That’s why everything you’ve said so far has happened, right?

It'd be better to be a fly on the window so you could see the pigs flying past.

He is a Ukrainian MP called Andrii Derkach.

If you do your research on him you will find that he is suspected of being a Russian agent attempting to influence the US election. I think we’ve heard that old chestnut before somewhere.

The proof of the pudding is always in the eating BarnsleyReds.

I’ll be happy to chew the fat with you when the race is run and we know who the winner is. Not long to wait now!

I'm looking forward to seeing Pence announce Biden as the winner while Trump's cultists riot outside. Gonna be great seeing them cry.

Yes. I’m expecting it will be quite a spectacle.

Laughing. I think it's you that should do the research. You'd be hard pushed to find a more corrupt individual.

But if you want your views shaped by people like this, good luck to you, it's a free country.

    Well no, me neither.

But look at the voting record of the guy you linked to, it certainly wouldn't be if he had his way. Things are ****, but let's not gravitate towards things that are much, much worse.

I haven’t researched his voting history to be fair. What I have done though is listen for myself to the leaked phone conversation between Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko. I’ve also watched the video of Biden boasting about using his Vice Presidential influence to get the Ukrainian Prosecutor Viktor Shokin who was investigating his son’s dealings in Burisma sacked. It isn’t as easy to debunk the actual source footage as it is the person who happens to report on it.

You’re clearly a clever bloke Jay so I’m sure you could find these and draw conclusions for yourself if you wished to do so. As you say though, it’s a free country (ish) so do or don’t... it makes absolutely no difference to me or what I choose to believe.

I thought this was all just 'interesting' to you because you'd had a bet?

You said you had no dog in the fight?

I didn’t prior to placing that bet. As I recall, prior to the election people were ridiculing me for that bet, yet I managed to generate a very worthwhile return.

My interest now is largely about fighting my corner against the people on here (yourself included) who have taken pleasure in telling me how wrong I am. What can I say... I have a competitive spirit by nature and while I’m not able to box this is is the closest to sparring I can get.

When the final result is known beyond any doubt I will be back on here and take any stick coming to me if it transpires that I’m wrong. I’ll also be happy to honour my bet with Marc and donate to BIADS if Biden is inaugurated. I wonder who will be similarly gracious in defeat if I end up being right though? Not that many I suspect.

It was a good job you managed to cash out at the very optimal point for that bet. Like all the people at the casino who somehow come out "about even" or have a win just after everyone else leaves.

Didn't you reinvest some of the profits on Trump to win again? Has that been marked as a loser yet?

In fact, I think in the spirit of fairness I think BarnsleyReds, Mansfield_red, Jimmy Viz, Redhelen, Micky Finn, Jay, Orsenkaht and anyone else who has told me I’m wrong should also be willing to join Marc in pledging £20 to the charity of my choice if Trump gets re-elected. If any of you are feeling supremely confident or charitable you could even offer to make it £50.

Who on that list is prepared to put your money where your mouth is?

Fair enough, assuming you'll put up £20 yourself

I'll have an even £100 with you for charity.

I'll also go £100 with you that Trump serves time prior to 2024.

I’ve already pledged my £20 to Marc’s charity pick of BIADS. I’m not prepared to bet £20 against everyone and surely you would acknowledge a Barnsley based Alzheimers charity to be a worthy recipient?

I’m simply asking that everyone on this thread be prepared to risk £20 to charity on the outcome of the election. I have already made that commitment.

My charity pick will be a local homeless charity because I can’t think of anything much worse than sleeping out on the streets at this time of year.
