QUOTE What are people paying twice for ? Buying a season ticket you paid for home games not away never have ! I’d suggest you haven’t paid anything for this game, yes it’s wrong the EFL are classing a Tuesday game as a Saturday just to coin it in. If my neighbour driving a Ford ran over another neighbours cat I wouldn’t feel compelled to apologise because I drive a Ford.
Eh? What do you mean I haven't paid for away games? I certainly did. I'd be paying twice because my season ticket includes midweek away games and yet the club are telling me I now have to pay again if I wish to watch this game which I've already paid for. Your analogy about owning fords makes no sense at all
Some paid extra so we could watch away games too. Then we were told ot would be midweek away games only, fair enough But this is a midweek game that somehow /EFL ifollow and the club are trying to persuade us is a Saturday match. So I'm not prepared to pay twice.
Reserved Plus members paid for a season ticket that included midweek away games - this is a midweek away game. I actually can't believe anyone is on the side of the EFL with this when they are literally trying to tell us that a Tuesday is a weekend despite the fact that Tuesdays have never ever been a weekend. If it was a Bank Holiday I'd think it was cheeky of them but I'd get that Bank Holidays are sometimes treated like a weekend but this is just any old random Tuesday that they've just decided to exclude because not only can they get away with it but they'll even have people sticking up for them whilst they do it. (I'm not saying you are but I have seen others doing so because they feel like they have already got value for money because their season ticket was cheaper this year).
And because they know the greedy clubs who's employees all get to watch the games from the stands anyway will not stand up for the fans.
I get that it’s wrong and I sort of get your point, I bought Reds Reserved plus also not knowing when we would get back to games, but I thought certainly by November! I also got a shirt of my choosing which wasn’t free but at the point we renewed it was not confirmed we would get iFollow for homes games so I’m not taking it for granted we would get away games like we did the final 9 last season! It stinks how the EFL are lining their pockets by classing it as a Saturday game even though it’s clearly not, but as it’s an away game I don’t believe I have already paid for this in any shape. Yes we were told via the club we would get all midweek away games but it’s not the club that control it so the anger is at best misplaced.
No. They could honour what is advertised on their website though for once. Are you really defending it?
I’m defending nothing, a don’t particularly give a toss to be honest like some!! What do you really want the club to do? Did you get a reserved plus ST btw?
Not even a club statement saying we are on the side of fans, we can see why you're not happy, we have done everything we could etc.
I'm angry at two different groups for two different reasons: 1) the EFL for trying to gaslight people 2) the club for not sticking up for its fans, especially when it is the fans who have supported them the most during this time that are getting shafted. It's not like it's just a slight to anyone who sort of likes BFC, this is exclusively doing over the people who bought the most expensive ticket and took the biggest risk to ensure the club didn't go under. A strongly worded open letter would cost them nothing and should be the minimum they do, providing reimbursement to Reserved Plus members who provide proof of purchase would cost them some admin hours (they get 100% of all iFollow sales during the pandemic) and would really show support to those who supported them when they needed it. Whilst it is the EFL who is the most at fault here for being the ones who are lying and trying to money grab I think I am most disappointed in the club. You expect it from the EFL in a way, the customer service on the iFollow platform has always been horrendous and they seem like a stranger so it doesn't feel personal but you expect your club to have your back and care about the people of Barnsley.
They could refund the money if you buy the game or something? I'm sure there are ways round it. I get the point that it's only a tenner but it's also at a time when people's income has been hit hard too.
Reading these two posts, it makes me wonder why the club couldn't reward such loyal supporters by standing the tenner themselves. It would not be an expensive advertising/loyalty gesture. We're obviously not talking about all season ticket holders. I didn't renew this year and I'll probably stick my tenner on to see the game tomorrow. But I think folk who paid good money out on the understanding they would get to see such games should not be denied by smoke and mirrors regardless of whether BFC or the EFL is at fault.
Yes I did. I paid for the extra ticket because after kicking u a fuss last season I felt it was only right to back the club as much as I could as this wasn't a donation I was getting something in return. Something that they've now taken away without any justification
Because it's iFollow. They can barely provide the service they are designed for. I'd be absolutely shocked if there's any process for clubs to purchase codes in bulk.
My advice to you is to grow the Fuk up and take a minute to think about the 10’s of thousands of people who have had more to worry about this year rather than a game that’s not on IFollow
