The tours and giveaways all happened. The complaint was that we didn't make a big fuss of them in terms of putting out articles and such outlining these events. So folk assumed they weren't happening, except those who experienced them of course. The online portal thing was a disaster and yes, definite f*** up. The other complaint was the points system for away games being redundant because we got loads of away tickets. For the record, I haven't said a word to you about a shelf or moaning for the sake of it. Nor have I referred to folk dying. I merely responded to your accusations about club employees at a greedy club.
Club decision makers not the hard working employees as I've repeatedly explained Edit: I've just searched back through posts to see why you keep mentioning employees and Ive seen a post I made where I said greedy club who's employees all get to see games. What I meant was that the club (again those high up) don't care because they can get double the money from fans (hence greedy) and that their employees can see games anyway. That was a dig at the club decision makers only caring about who they know not a dig at the employees but I appreciate how it would sound/read to you. That wasn't the intention.
Fwiw and it's not really worth anything, but I think the club often let themselves down not from what they do but how they communicate what they do. You've alluded to it in that post. If there'd been an official announcement about the Rotherham game saying pretty much what you've been saying on here there would be a lot more understanding people. Obviously you wouldn't have appeased SuperTyke (sorry mate but sometimes you are unappeasable) but you would have reached a lot more people and garnered a lot more understanding. And as you've said the same thing about ten times now, it would have been a lot less work too.
Who are the employees in the stands you refer to though? The grounds-staff? The media? The subs? The doctor? The physio? All of these people have to be at the stadium. I've no idea what point you are making there. I'm not offended anyway. I just felt defensive and responded in kind. I think I've said as much as I can anyway on the matter.
I know I am. I accept that. When I think something is wrong I'm li!e a dog with a bone. But at the same time I think I'd have been at least partially appeased by that. Same as the portal thing last year, had I paid for it (I didn't) I would have been really pissed off finding out it just hadn't happened but if they had explained as soon as they realised they couldn't do it I would have been more inclined to be like ok this is an honest mistake, the silence until people remembered would have pissed me off no end. This year there was silence regarding shirts on seats, tunnel and armband and they only got addressed after fans started kicking off on here about it. It shouldn't be like that, it just shouldn't. As soon as they realised they should have apologised and tried to set it right. For the cost of producing all those wasted t-shirts an NHS banner with a fire certificate could have been produced maybe with everyone's name on it or something but instead it was kept quiet until people moaned. Own up to mistakes, take responsibility for them and face the consequences and I'd have much more respect for the club. As an example of this when Dane did the question time thing and owned up to a lot I posted on here how much my respect for him had risen. So yeah I'm hard to please when I feel wronged but come on, at least make an attempt to change that mindset
I do get what you are saying there. But there are about 8 other clubs affected and they haven't said owt either. Like I say, it's an ongoing issue and we're continuing to argue the case.
I wasn't p1ssed off with what we didn't get with reserve plus, as I said, I couldn't even remember what it was. I was getting a season ticket anyway and as it was the first season with the new structure a friend and I thought we'd give it a whirl to see if it was worth it. You'll not be surprised to learn that the conclusion was it really, really wasn't. The Rotherham thing doesn't affect me. I think the football league have acted pretty sh1tty in what they've done. I don't blame the club I just think sometimes they don't help themselves with their comms.
Just a thought, if the match got postponed tomorrow night, if it were rearranged to another mid-week Tuesday/Wednesday would it be part of the iFollow package? I’ll pay my tenner, save a 500 mile round trip and look forward to another 94th minute winner.
I don't care about the other clubs. I care about you lot and think you undersell yourself by not communicating the hard work you put in. Anyway, top and bottom of it is the game shouldn't be going ahead. Totally unfair on Rotherham with so many players out and totally unfair on the staff at our club having to visit somewhere where the poor buggers are having a covid outbreak. We should all be getting angry about that, Rotherham, Barnsley and the fans of both clubs.

While we are on the subject I never received my phone call from a player last season! Wanted McGeehan to phone so I could tell him 3 game ban should be 6 ! And I never got my NHS t-shirt
