Worst signing in bfc history. Not necessarily the worst player but by far the worst signing

Haven't seen a replay yet, but it looked like a good delivery into a crowded box, and Smith wasn't really challenged in the air.

Think he is a good keeper and I like him, but he certainly needs some work.
Either we need to strengthen in the air in general at the back or he needs to work on his crosses he looked well shaky tonight, his distribution needs some work too.

He's a decent 'keeper who's saves are earning us more points than the "errors" are costing us. At this point in the team's development, he's fine, and there are other, more pressing positions that need any available funds spending on them. I'd also say that as things stand we'd struggle to attract better without throwing daft money at them.

Hopefully, as the team develops and we're challenging further and further up the table either he becomes more consistent, or the budget will be there to sign an upgrade.

Looked more like poor defending to me rather than keeping.

Walton is a featherweight at corners, but that was an unreal delivery 1 yard out centre of goal, Jack could not stop that

He's very good at some aspects of goal keeping and mediocre at others.

So some games will highlight his better qualities. Others will highlight his deficiencies.

Today did a bit of both.

I'm more than happy to stick up for a very talented, young goalkeeper.

Exactly, at the age of 22 you wouldn't expect him to be the finished product anyway. By the time he reaches his prime in his late 20's I would seriously expect him to be top end championship/premier League.

Miles better than Radlinger but that’s not saying much. I’d play Collins as he commands his area a lot better and his kicking is better too.

At fault for the goal surely! Header was from a yard out in centre of goal. That has to be his ball and his feet barely left the ground to challenge for it.
He’ll make a decent keeper but he’s very shaky at moment on crosses coming into the box. Needs a rest imho.

    I will.
Because he’s a good goalkeeper and very young.
What he supposed to have done tonight? Their goal? It was a brilliant delivery - as they were all night to be fair

I wrote this in the Chaplin thread earlier..... seems apt to post it here too.

    Player in team = crap
    Player on bench = amazing

The longer you are out of the team the better you are.

    ‘‘twas ever the same.

Got to disagree on that. Zonal marking at fault in my opinion. Smith gets a free run while Walton is blocked off.

Thought he played well tonight after a shaky start Saturday & against Bournemouth
