We won't, you play whats in front of you and after going 2 nil up so early on and playing regularly twice a week.....
Frustrating second half but job done as noted above. When we got the ball down and played a bit we looked a class above them. I don't get why we resorted to hoofball as we know that style is Rotherham's big strength. Hopefully some lessons for Big Val to learn.
Right. I've now finally decided that I want the teams at the bottom to beat the teams at the top. Well done Wednesday!
I keep looking at the table and it's wonderful to be looking at the top half and not being worried about teams below us winning....
Thank god that's over. I'd already replayed big Vic's miss in my head about 20 times before the full time whistle. Don't think I'd sleep if they grabbed an equaliser.
I think a few things to work on. Walton needs to be better as do the defence from set pieces. Better finishing needed. Anderson needs to stop giving fouls when we have set pieces. Its almost 3-4 times a game. better possession and winning 2nd balls. Some training ground work and some will improve with strength in the squad in the right areas. Commentators constantly stating we bypassed our midfield yet Mowatt had a goal and assist and they played everything long 2nd half. Im happy with that despite a bit slack 2nd half and squandered chances. We did enough 1st half though.
A good derby away win. In the first half, we looked a real quality side. Rotherham came back into it in the second and we lost our way a bit. However, it was a fully deserved three points, in my opinion. Work still to do in certain aspects of our game, but there are far more positives than negatives with these lads and Head Coach. Thirty four points and eighth position is a brilliant place to be in at the end of the year, especially when we didn't win a single match in the first seven games of the season.
Val may have some new toys soon so fingers crossed we can get a pacey lad who can hold the ball up. Maybe another combative midfielder who can play down the left and another centre half.
Don’t share this view. he showed his inexperience; that he is a very young lad. It wasn’t a composed finished, but you can teach that. he’s come on so much over the last few months and deserves credit for fashioning the chance.
We made hard work of that. I thought after the second goal we'd go on to get a couple more, but we started to look tired in the second half, against a team that hadn't played for nearly two weeks. Victor should've had a goal in the second half, to kill the game off. Another victory nonethless.
he was being constricted by his yellow undergarments, reckon they was fresh on, as you have to wear same colour as your shorts, spent most of game pulling them down, reckon they rode up just as he shot altering his point of balance
He missed a chance. Not the first to do so and certainly won't be the last. All in all, I thought he did well.
We're 7 points adrift of the tarn premiership team after 22 games I believe, amazing considering our start like you say.
