Hope he's fine, sure he will be. Disappointing from a football point of view though. Styles to centre midfield, Odour to left back?
He tested positive on Wednesday according to Doug from the Chronicle. Seems inevitable we'll have more positives to come now. At least it's relatively good timing with only the FA cup game next week.
Not sure how much can be attributed to the Rotherham game. Sounds like only one positive test, and three contacts. If more positive cases come out in the next week, then you can ask serious questions about the midweek game. Will give one of Styles, Kane or Palmer a chance to play in the middle alongside James
I’d leave Styles out there, not been convinced by Oduor too much and we have Kane and Palmer who could come in and play in the middle very effectively. I might side paying Palmer, more combative, given the opposition.
Bad news for us. But just thinking back to the Rotherham game, did anyone else notice both teams used the same tunnel? I thought that home and away teams had to enter the pitch from different areas under the covid protocols
Massive blow. It’ll be a big test for us. I’d give a chance to Kane or Palmer & keep Styles at wing back. Thought Odour was poor against Swansea
I could make an argument for prioritising the vaccinating of professional footballers. Controversial I know but football is the one major entertainment industry that has not had a bean from the government and yet is still up and running for the moment at least. I believe that keeping it going through these next few months would be a major diversion and the benefits to the mental health and wellbeing of the country would be immeasurable
Absolutely as I said the other day. Sport is one of the most taxed industries so after vulnerable people all should be done to keep sport going for that reason and for the good it does to mental health having it available to watch. As for Alex Mowatt if he's played his last game for us now he leaves off the back of one of our best months ever.
I don’t think you could ever justify prioritising footballers above health and social care workers, or teachers and emergency services. By the time they’re vaccinated we’ll probably be in the spring/summer time and rates will have dropped.
