Tin pot club. Recently new ground without undersoil heating and with fans not allowed they don't have to worry about surrounding areas. Cardiff have been done up having to travel all that way in a pandemic for nothing. I guarantee in the rearranged fixture they will be able to put out a much stronger team than today, which is another unfair situation for Cardiff.
I didn’t realise how unfair all this was to Cardiff, but I agree with you. So, in that case - great decision.
It was called off due to frozen pitch surely the ref would have done his inspection earlier than that
It was a light dusting of snow.I remember in the early 90s having to shovel snow of the rugby ground in Donny before we played a match
Rotherham will struggle with this back log of games. I can see it costing them their place in the division.
I can remember many games when the game was stopped to allow ground staff to brush the lines clear of snow then off we went again. But health and safety and players being nothing but fannies these days is game off at the first sight of a snow flake.
Clear the lines, get the yellow/orange ball out and get it played. Can’t use the excuse of the surrounding areas for the fans today either.
Having seen the Harrogate game getting called for having snow on the sidelines no wonder its been called off. I personally saw nothing wrong with the Harrogate pitch, total joke.
Frozen pitch according to Sky Sports Doesn't seem right no undersoil heating considering new ground sounds like cost cutting on build.
Rotherham will be in a position similar to Sunderland were when we were in league 1, albeit at the other end of the table. Will look ok with things in their own hands, but too many games to get through in a short space of time. Won’t be long before they are calling for an extension to the season
Thing is normally when fans are in games are called off anyway for safety reasons, so I maybe can see why they didn't bother.
I drove past the ground about 2pm and it wasn't even bad. The picture below is from Twitter. Bit of a joke if it's off for snow, especially considering how far Cardiff have travelled.
