Unfiortunately, if that is the case it has already reached half of Europe and Brussels given the delays in deploying the vaccines elsewhere.

i think you give too much credit to this government. They stopped following the science (SAGE) when it became apparent their mates were breaking rules. They stopped following the science when it became apparent the science wanted to keep businesses closed. They stopped following the science when it told them the tier system would have little or no impact.

You can’t have it both ways and chose to believe they only follow the science when it backs up your opinion.

Because you keep telling people that live in this country and live in these times how they should feel and act despite not having a clue what’s going on here other than what you decide to read in the media that supports how you think.

Chris witty what a bundle of laughs this bloke is ,the grim reaper personified,he loves to spread doom and gloom this bloke.
Comes out with there is likely to be a problem with supply of this vaccine.
Then the 2 drug companies say there is no problem with supply of it always looking on the black side, git.

We are one of the top countries in the world for getting doses to people. Long may it continue.

What does any of this have to do with the vaccine? Yes, rightly criticise where they don’t follow the science, but on the occasions they do follow the science to the letter don’t make out that they’re not. Particularly on a topic that requires a lot of public confidence (putting something in your arm!)

Actually. accusing me of not having a clue is incorrect. I still have access to BBC news, other media, same as others here (how do you get your news and form opinions other than via media? More importantly I am in regular contact with family and friends in UK on a weekly basis in many cases via video calls and obviously conversation about the current situations here and in UK crop up. Furthermore, being retired we obviously have more time to scan media etc. for differing views. Since we have family in UK, domestic affairs are still relevant to us. Interestingly, most UK expats (here in Italy at least) are probably better informed in some areas since we receive a regular newsletter from the UK Govt regarding any changes in legislation e.g. Brexit unlike many on here who appear to rely on the rumour mill or agenda driven politicised media outlets. Also a number of them still retain business interests in the UK so we get information from them. As an aside, interestingly they are pretty evenly split as in the UK re Brexit i.e. some angry and vehemently against it and others in favour of it, largely influenced by personal circumstance (as I suspect is the case in the UK)

Your comments about me 'telling people how they should think and act' are also untrue. In any case, is that not what debate is about there (albeit not 'telling' but trying to persuade others and bring them round ot your PoV). There are quite a number of people on here who that can be said of although unfortunately many end up reporting to abuse wich then turns into a slanging match. Perhaps you overlook those whose views you agree with and pick me out because we are at opposite ends of the debating spectrum.
It is also laughable to say that that I 'only choose media that supports how I think'. If you actually lived (and I am pretty sure you don't) outside the media bubble that is the UK you would get a different and more diverse perspective of UK affairs as seen from outside of the bubble . Plenty on here, for example seem to focus on one or two otlets e.g. the Guardian as gospel and are totally dismissive of other sources. The same can be said of those right of centre who only take media sources confirming their views. BBC and the Guardian are generally recognised pro Euro centric and unfortunately gloss over much of the negative side of the EU much of which IS reported in Europe but ignored or downplayed in the UK media. An example is the developing shambles of vaccine distribution in the EU with delays, postponements and projected starting dates of vaccination programs far worse than the UK. The British media also seized on the NYT false news that the UK Government are recommending /approving? 'mixing' vaccines and many on this BB rushed to condemn it as another example of incompetent Government .

We are not living in Outer Mongolia and in the present day the World has shrunk and it is perfectly possible to keep up to date with domestic affairs of one country if you can be bothered and know where to look. Ironically most on here don't look beyond the domestic media to look at the bigger picture. therefore I would argue on many topics I am better informed than many on this site, some of whom seem to have never set foot outside of Barnsley let alone the UK except for the odd holiday. And yet I have been called a 'little Englander' in the past by one or two of the same.

it means everything. You can’t shout they are following the science when they only follow the science that suits them.

I’ve said no such thing. I’ve said they’ve followed the science in respect of vaccination dosage.

No they haven't. The science says 1 now and another in 3 weeks. Not 3 months.

You did. You wrote it above it’s there to see. You also wrote a long post telling us how SAGE have given this guideline ref the vaccine and how the government is following it. I pointed out SAGE has given many guidelines the government have ignored.

therefore I won’t get too hung up on following the science anymore.

Sage have also been massively wrong many times.

Sage is no more accurate than any other group of scientists, they are simply the scientists and cummings' selected by the government
