I'm not sure it's weirder than Tarn Whales (is anything?). But it's definitely nowhere near as interesting or useful!

Did you know I found it? It's in the country and we're looking at getting it back on the road.

I saw you mention that you'd found it but had no idea it was going on a road trip!

One of the highlights of my teens getting a namecheck alongside the Tarn Whale.

This is a pearler. So on the basis of ‘half expecting’ I equate that to mean you think there’s a 2/1 chance of Biden conceding before Wednesday.

Tell you what then. I’ll give you 10/1 on another £20.

If he concedes I add another £200 to your charity. If he doesn’t you add another £20 to mine. No brainer to you that, if you’re so confident at 2/1.

It's in a bit of a state but it could be done. One final trip up the M1 to Oakwell. What a finale.

Thanks for the offer but I prefer the 19/1 odds on those futures that Mansfield flagged up to me earlier so I will be going with those instead and I will make a charitable donation out of my winnings.

Paint it orange, ridiculous blonde wig and make its fins really small and I think you're onto something.

I genuinely hope you don’t do that.

19/1 is absolutely terrible odds. I wouldn’t put anything on at 1000/1. Don’t let this delusion cost you money that you might need.

I’m guessing it’s not for your benefit.
If you’ve a spare £100 the charity would benefit more from a £100 donation rather than a share of the non existent £1900 winnings

Oh dear! Now you have got me worried, Casual. I had you down as purely a wind-up merchant, albeit an entertaining one. But now you have got me wondering if you actually believe some of this ****.

Just to take one piece of your above testimony. "You could find footage of windows being boarded up to stop the fraudulent activity inside from being witnessed." I'm pretty sure that you know as well as I do that that happened because Trump-supporting apes were attempting to intimidate the tellers and the election officials. Most of the officials In Georgia and many of the other 'contested' states were/are actually Republican. Fancy that!

But I could go through your 'evidence' line by line and suggest refutations, and you would not accept that, which is your right. And at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what either of us think. The 'evidence', such as it is, needs to satisfy an American court of law that has jurisdiction to do something about it. In the classical English common law statement evidence must be relevant, and it is only relevant if it is logically probative of a fact in issue. American law draws on the tradition of English common law, but is of course enshrined in constitutional and statutory law, further elaborated in administrative regulations and case-law precedent. Rule 401 of the Federal Rules of Evidence (FRE) deems evidence to be relevant if it has the "tendency to make the existence of any fact that is of of consequence to the determination of the action more probable or less probable than it would be without the evidence."

Well, bearing in mind that test, none of the circumstantial evidence you allude to has been deemed sufficiently reliable or relevant to cast any legal doubt on the outcome of the election. The outcome, free of any valid legal challenge, has been decided in Biden's favour. That leaves unlawful action to frustrate it as the only avenue open to Trump. And worrying though the level of support is among some parts of the American public for Trump's batshit-crazy ideas, I don't think America as a whole is ready to accede to what would amount to a military coup. God help us all if I'm wrong!
