This all raises the stakes for President Lameduck. He would need Pence to be the tie-break in the Senate. Will the evangelical Christian Mr Pence go along with that?

For what purpose? The new senators won't be sworn in for a few days anyway if you mean for the attempted coup. And They don't have 50 republicans to vote against anyway. And it needs both the senate and the house, which is even more not going to happen.

Has already categorically stated he won’t, not that he’ll need to because enough Republicans in both houses have already discovered a backbone and decided that they don’t want this stench on their future career.

I'm looking forward to it. Seeing pence announce the winner.

You ready to reveal what's going to happen yet? Would love to know what the plan is. Pence has already said he doesn't have the authority to overturn anything. They don't have a majority in either chamber. What's the plan?

No. I won’t be revealing anything. It will be far more entertaining if I let you watch it play out in real time.

Just remind me.... you did say that you would buy a 10-year Sheffield Wednesday season ticket if Trump is next President, right?

Well you'd need to know something to reveal it, Mr Cas. And we both know you don't, don't we?

But his options would appear to be for Pence to do something capricious (which would swiftly be legally overturned, and which Pence doesn't seem inclined towards in any event) or to instigate some form of peasants' revolt, fomented by the loons he has beckoned to Washington. The Mayor and the National Guaurd are on that one, and any attempt by the ornage one would swiftly bring the full fury of even the Republican establishment ranging around him.

Game up, I'm afraid! (But as I speak, Betfair will still give you 33/1 that Trump doesn't leave office in 2021 so you have an opportunity to increase your profits!)

"I won't be revealing anything". Proper laughing.

I believe my exact words were "I will buy a 10 year wednesday season ticket if Trump is president on the 21st January". I stand by that, because it's impossible. He won't get elected and if he was to somehow overturn it (0% chance to happen, but even in your crazy land) it will take him past that date. Meaning Pelosi would be acting president on the 21st January.

I still don't believe for a second he cashed out. I think this is what fuelled his tirade. They settled the bet, so he's rebelling and looking in the most insane places for 'evidence'.

Haha....if that's true, it makes what's already becoming an excellent day even better. Hubris-tastic!

Hang on though....what about his vastly superior intellect and that?? Surely someone with his planet-sized brain, and 17 letters, would have read those odds a little better??!

I'm not a betting person but at the time I wondered how the betting companies would get a profit if they paid him out for backing Trump but then also had to pay out to those who correctly backed Biden. I thought they'd want the Biden betters to cash out.

What he said makes sense, Trump was favourite at that time (wrongly, it was clear even then it was a toss-up at best) so the cash out for less than the full amount makes sense for the bookies, as they pay out less for the likely outcome.

I just don’t believe he did that. I thought so at the time, but I didn’t want to get into psychoanalysis. But he’s been a **** since so **** it.

When something looks more than likely to happen, which a Trump win did, they encourage you to cash out for less money than if you let the bet ride. It works in most cases in their favour overall.

Like taking a 2-0 Barnsley win with 15 minutes to go. You can't cash out a losing bet, which, which is the position Biden was in.

They’re all just Trump wannabes. No Republican will ever lose with grace again. Think back to John McCain’s concession speech when Obama beat him. Will never see that again from Republicans. And then the democrats will respond in kind and politics has just generally got a lot uglier over there thanks to trump and his inability to lose and this rabid base of idiots he’s built up. Who could possibly have seen that coming.
