Don't get me wrong I have warmed to cats since my parents got one, but I'll always be in the dog camp. I'm thinking of getting a dog actually, a Yorkie or a whippet, or maybe a border terrier. Suggestions welcomed..
Oliver, our rescue Staffador. Came from Dog's Trust back in 2017, where he'd been for almost a year without even a single request to meet him. Seven visits and two home visits later and he was ours. Softest thing in the world...he's living the best life and has transformed ours.
The Absolutely nothing wrong with that mate. I will always adopt oldies, but it’s dogs for courses & situations. I’ve buried 3 in the last 4 years. & soon Alf too. Puppies are for young families. It’s perfect education for kids.
Whitney on a free run. Normally, the second we take the lead off she runs off and bounds about like crazy. Typically, she wouldn’t do it this time when I was filming but she’s still a little cutie. I was trying out my new selfie stick which is why she was jumping up.
Whippet’s are lovely dogs, we had one when I was younger. God forbid that anything happens to our current pooch, but we would look to get a couple of ex racing greyhounds or 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks next. Most dogs make amazing companions, and during this lockdown I have been thankful for my downtime working from home since last March and taking her out for long walks to get away from my home office!
Don’t ask me this girls story. It’s too sad to repeat. She’s in specialist foster care currently,& I have first dibs on adoption. Seeing how it goes. Alf wouldn’t mind. But this one is young , friendly & lively, despite her traumatic first years.
