    I was sat in the stand opposite the players' tunnel, with my brother-in-law, his friend and his friend's son. As far as I'm aware, the number of Barnsley fans in attendance was just over 16,000.

    That figure sounds about right to me as well mate. I was sat in the corner bit about half way up from the corner flag with my Dad and a school mate

    The replay on Tuesday of the following week was Glavin’s reappearance after injury and George Best’s first appearance for Bournemouth !
    Pretty boring info really but seemed good at the time

    I was down near station for both of the other fixtures. No love lost, especially after the Willard game. Liverpool fans were thankful for police presence that day from what I saw.

    That's what I remember as well. Barnsley fans behind the goal (opposite the Kop obviously) and definitely down the right hand side - don't know how far though.

    By the way we didn't miss the kick off as my Dad got off the M62 in the middle of nowhere and followed this van around Lancashire.

    "Where are we going Dad?" I kept asking.
    "Following that van, it's going t'match" says Dad.

    True enough, the van pulls into a car park near Anfield and we get to the game on time. There were no markings on the van or any scarves or anything. No idea how my Dad did it, but he's a bloody genius lol :)

    That could have been me and my Dad ! My company were based in Liverpool and I was told about the route coming off the M62 and to park in this pub car park.

    went to anfield that night but can't remember a bloody thing apart from not getting there until h/t ish
    sure that guy who got slashed with a stanley knife made the headlines as much as us getting a draw in the papers
    also remember phil neal karate kicking 1 of ours in the replay
    always despised liverpool since from those 2 cup ties, best fans in the world? pfftttt
