    Good question, but many did
    A survey taken by the Democracy Fund + UCLA Nationscape in late September and early October found that 21 percent of Black voters ages 18 to 44 supported Trump, while an October New York Times/Siena College national poll found that 11 percent of Black men backed Trump. Both results were in line with those of other polls, which generally found overall Black support for Trump to be around 10 percent.

    Doesn't make sense to me as he's overtly racist, but then what happens in the States has always not made much sense to me.

    Why would nt they . Obama foreclosed on 5 million families . The poorest in society got hit the hardest which included many of African American origin . Not everybody falls for the " he s gay , a woman , a man of colour , a woman of colour " etc so they must automatically be good trick . Many people are fed up with identity politics including those minorities who are supposed to be represented by these minority politicians .

    We’re not talking here about Trump voters, these are the Trump fan base.
    Very much QAnon, anti - Semitic, anti - establishment types.

    They include a small number of non white youngsters, but generally low educated, white middle aged working class steered (and indeed sponsored) by rich white racists. (See also Brexit)

    Confederate flags, nazi t shirts etc were the uniform of choice.

    These people that invaded are not the typical voters, not even the typical Trump voter. They are the lowest of the low.

    Many wearing Auschwitz Shirts, "6 million was not enough" shirts, "Black Lives Don't Matter" shirts, carrying confederate flags etc.

    I think this is summed up in a tweet I read this morning.

    Everyone getting arrested or losing their jobs for taking part in storming the Capitol are just starting to realise why their grandparents wore hoods.

    There are more troops guarding Capitol Hill than there are American troops in Afganistan and Syria put together.
